If any Garmin device, especially your girlfriend's device, takes you/her the wrong way or to the wrong destination, we would recommend the following suggestions.
• Ensure your device has the most current version of its software and mapping. The updates can be completed through a free program called Garmin Express. Garmin Express can be downloaded from www.garmin.com/express. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my 5th or 6th Garmin GPS product and it produces the worst directions I have ever experienced. In the first week, it sent us into an apartment complex parking, with no way out except to retrace the steps and find the desire address manually. After enter a new destination, it is totally lost and where we actually are and who to get to the starting point. It will display something like, "Continue to Main street" which assumes the driver actually knows where main street is. If you start in a parking lot of a large mall, or office complex, it has not idea of how to get you started. I am very disappointed and wish the the touch screen of my older Nuvi 52 was still working and I would junk the new one. The first thing I did was install the latest map version, so that is not the issue.

Regarding the nüvi 65LM navigating you to an incorrect location, this could be an error in the mapping, since you stated you updated the device before using it. If the device has the most current version of the mapping and this type of issue occurs, we would encourage you to visit https://my.garmin.com/mapErrors/report.faces to report this mapping error to Garmin so it can be corrected for future map updates.
Regarding the device stating "Continue to Main Street", if you are in a large open area, without detailed road mapping, it will say that as there may be many different ways to get back to that specific road. However, if you happen to drive to a different road the device will auto recalculate the route and get you to your destination.
