First unit delivered they gave us the wrong cable so install people did not try to install the unit and we had to wait for another week to get the right cable. On the 2nd try we got the correct cable got it installed but after a few minutes of trying the unit it completely broke down. We called Best Buy and we had to schedule a replacement for another week. On the 3rd week, the replacement unit did not even got installed because it was also broken!! So we had to call yet again to get another replacement. Now it sounds like we are going to wait another week, 1 month of frustrations and still going! not sure how these products are getting away with quality control! The price for the product isnt cheap but the quality seems like it is!

My last washer and dryer had a porcelain basket and half as much and never had a problem with a washer basket rusting in 54 years and now im being told it is my water that is causing the problem I would not advise anyone to purchase this, in fact I would advise against purchasing it. I seen another review that said theirs had rusted in the same place. I wsh I would have taken that advice.

Posted .Hello IRAD - Thank you for providing a review on your laundry center. We are very sorry to hear about the rust on your wash basket and know it must be frustrating. Surface rust on the sidewalls of stainless steel baskets may be caused by particulates in the water. This type of surface rust can be cleaned off and in some cases prevented by following these cleaning instructions:
Spray the basket with Windex.
Clean the basket with Magic Eraser to remove all brown particulates. Magic eraser will not scratch the basket.
Wipe off the Windex.
Spray the basket with an oxalic acid based cleaner.
Wipe basket thoroughly. We hope this helps. Keep in touch! - John@GEAppliances

Not A quality machine. Louder than my 25 year old warn out washer that I am replacing!! Did I mention it is VERY loud!! Returning immediately!!

GE must do something about it to satisfy their customers.

The drum in both washer & dryer is larger than we thought it would be and it cleans and dries beautifully we read reviews before we bought it and some people mentioned it was noisy but ours doesn’t seem to be noisy at all we are extremely happy with our purchase
