Got one last week, and started making noises in washer and dyer did stopped working after 1 cycle. Best Buy was nice enough to swap it out, which was faster than getting a tech out there. Got the other one yesterday, and worked half cycle and quit. Dryer did not even heat, I opened the washer lid and soap is still visible...I'm on hold with Best Buy again while I type. Will update, but this is not convenient at all!

every thing is fine so far. just wish the writing was a bit larger as I have a bit of a problem seeing.

It took a little time getting used to the new machine as it is quite different from my old one. I like how the spin cycle removes evey drop of water from the clotes. In doing so, drying becomes more efficient.

I Love my new laundry center! I needed to stop doing laundry in my basement, this center is not only perfect and handy but it cleans my clothes better than a digital one that was fairly new in my basement. Very satisfied!! The delivery was right on time, the service was outstanding. Both delivery men were polite and helpful!!

Very good washer dryer system works well for us was much needed

I am a maintenance supervisor of new apartment complex that just opened in March of 2024 and is currently only is at 60% occupancy. My company decided to install this make/model of this brand and all I have to say is DO NOT BUY THIS. The failure rate of these out of the box (very first use) are well over 20% at my property and climbing! I have so many open warranties for this, most of them is the lid not locking during the drain/spin cycle, but I have a few that the washer will not start at all. 90% of my pending work orders are this unit. GE warranty repairs take over a month to complete as they don't keep the parts on hand and have to order them and ship them to you and then you have to schedule a second appointment for them to come back. Find another brand do not buy these!

Installation manual gives instructions for side-venting, but no "knock-out" exists. Had to vent out the back adding an extra 4" to the depth. The washer spins the clothes incessantly, no reverse tumble so clothes come out seriously wrinkled. If you are one who likes to hang clothes to dry, you'll be ironing.

This unit was installed on 12/19/18 for a home under renovation. I moved into the house late January, and did my first (and only) wash 1/31/19. The unit overflowed, and flooded the floor and ceiling below, causing extensive damage. The washer has a damaged transmission. I did not buy extra warranties, because I wrongly assumed that the washer would work the first time it was used. Despite my telling Best Buy that I had not even moved in within the time frame it would exchange the unit, Best Buy has refused to recognize those special circumstances and will not replace it. GE will not, as well, but will only repair. I have no confidence that this flooding will not happen again. Best Buy and GE do not stand behind their products!

Works well except for the door lock on the washer. It's difficult to open the door and the lock light doesn't turn on.

Works great and the install team was excellent! The space the machine needed to fit in was very tight but they made it work.

I am extremely frustrated with my recent Best Buy delivery experience. The delivery team "mistakenly" removed and threw away a fully functional washer and dryer from my first floor—when they were actually supposed to remove the washer/dryer unit from the second floor. Now, I am stuck in an endless loop with Best Buy customer service, India customer service, etc. trying to get them to take responsibility for their mistake and replace/compensate me for the washer dryer combo they wrongfully discarded. Despite multiple calls and attempts to escalate, NO ONE is providing a real solution. This is completely unacceptable. Best Buy needs to step up, take accountability, and resolve this issue immediately. I expect a call from someone who can actually make this right. Who at Best Buy is going to take responsibility and fix this?

Excellent product and easy handling, the capacity of items that can be washed

I love my new washer/dryer combo! I needed to save space moving into a smaller home and I’m very happy with my choice!

I love my stackable washer and dryer. We didnt have a lot of room, but it fit Perfect.works great.

Excellent machine. Works perfect. Delivery service was excellent. They made sure everything was clean an took all trash with them.

The dryer has a design defect where the silicon gaskets leave black graphite streaks on clothes. All of my white sheets and clothes were ruined before I realized what was causing it (no compensation for that). First they replaced the gaskets, yet the problem continued. Then they used different gaskets. Don’t buy this unit!! Ask any repairman how many calls they get on this problem.

May be cheap, But does the job keeps you from going to the laundromat

I purchased this product 3 years ago and wanted to come back to leave a review for anyone on the market. Do not buy this product. After 3 years of moderate use, the washer is broken beyond repair. The washer basket rusted/melted and it resulted in a huge water leak that damaged our floors and leaked into our finished basement. A 3 year lifespan on a washer is unacceptable, and I would recommend shopping for a higher-quality brand. It's a shame that what was once such a great company has now become synonymous with low-quality. You are better off buying a bucket of water and some clotheslines. It will be just as effective, last longer than 3 years, and won't cost you thousands of dollars. Thomas Edison would be very disappointed in the devolution of GE. And before anyone from the GE customer relations team comments on this review: spare me from your explanation of the rigorous maintenance steps that you say these washers require (constant cleaning, careful measuring of detergent, etc). It's a washer, not an airplane. Quit shifting blame to consumers because they don't have hours to invest in maintaining your cheaply-made, overpriced products.

3 years later and the dryer is squeaking when in use. Prior to this GE washer/dryer stacked. I owned a Whirlpool stacker from 2006 to 2019 and outside of the washer spring being replaced 3 times during those 13 years there were no other issues and there were no issues in the first 5 years. I will never buy another GE product. It’s ONLY been 3 years and this crap is acting up.

The washer broke after two years. Geek Squad set us up for a repair with Heavenly Cool. Check out their reviews on Google or Yelp. I'm afraid to let them do anything to the washer, if they even show up. Don't get Geek Squad protection, you will not want to use it when the time comes.
