It’s a bit embarrassing when company is here.

Posted .Hello- We are happy to hear your washer is working well and cleaning your clothes. However, we are sorry you're having this experience with your being extra loud. It may be getting out of balance. All GE Appliances washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch. During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor. As a result, the clothes basket can move freely, and this is normal. Note: The more the legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation. We have some Anti-Vibration Pads that may help with this issue. Please check our site for these or reach out to our GE Parts team. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. Super loud set

We had these for two days and scheduled a return because of how loud they are (the dryer in this set also). Best Buy has been great to deal with and made the return seamless. Also, compared to the LG I used to have the door, lint trap and detergent thing feel super cheap.

New GE Washer

Need new washer after owning for only 2 years

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washer started getting really loud during the spin cycle after about a year and a half of owning. At the 2 year mark, the washer stopped in the middle of the cycle altogether and would not go into the spin cycle. Called a local tech to come and take a look and he told me that the control board needed replaced and the bearings were going bad and that the transmission would need replaced as well. He was shocked that it was only 2 years old and told me to avoid GE. So now we are replacing with a different washer altogether. Also to be noted, our matching dryer had issues within the first year of owning and luckily was covered under warranty at that time but, even now, it sounds terrible and makes a squeeling noise from time to time. I also had bought a GE dishwasher about a year and a half ago which is now having issues with leaks around the door. Just going to take that techs advise and avoid GE products in the future.

Only recommend using efficiency mode for very light loads, as there’s not much water dispensed in this mode.

Reminds me of laundromat machines. It gets the clothes very clean and has a wireless connection to control from an app. You can literally wash clothes and watch a movie at the same time. GE is in the future with this machine. I love it and recommend it for large families.

Pretty Quiet and Great doing what it’s meant to do and that’s washing clothes. The Agitator is a plus if you want clean clothes. Easy Controls with enough space for heavy loads of laundry. Also capable to link to wifi using the Smart HQ App. Overall until now Great Washing Machine.
