We'd like to help go over the sounds you are noticing with your new washer. We recommend checking to make sure that your washer is completely level to the ground, as this helps prevent excessive vibrations and out of balance conditions. When the washer is not leveled it can also cause louder operational sounds, due to the spin cycle overcompensating. You can also check out our article titled "Top Load Washer - Noises Heard During Agitation" located on our GE Appliances website in the support section, to view a list of sounds that are normal and abnormal. If additional assistance is needed, you can schedule an appointment with our Bodewell service team by calling 1-833-426-3393.

We'd like to help with any issues you're having with your washer. If the clothes aren't washing well, we recommend ensuring the water temperature is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Other troubleshooting tips are available in your Use and Care manual; the manual can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product's page, and the Troubleshooting Tips section starts on page 22. Regarding the issue with balance, we recommend ensuring the washer is leveled (the leveling legs can be adjusted if needed) and items are loaded evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket. The washer having an infusor rather than an agitator would not affect the balance. We recommend checking to make sure that your unit is completely level to the ground, as this can help tremendously with balancing the load and prevent excessive vibrations. It also helps with the sensor and detecting the soil level, which relates to cycles knowing when to end.
