We want to help go over the sound level you are noticing with your washer. We first recommend checking that your unit is completely level to the ground. This will help prevent out of balance conditions from occurring and reduce extra sounds. You can level the washer, adjust the leveling legs by rotating the individual leg in the proper direction for up or down. We recommend checking our article titled "Top Load Washer - Noises Heard During Agitation" located on our GE Appliances website in the support section. This article has a list of sounds that are normal to notice.
