Thought large capacity we could wash a comforter... no, you have to take it out and wash it again after rearranging.... clothes, we have to wash twice because you can still smell clothes from perfume or work on them, it is never clean after 1 wash and rinse... even soaking with vinegar and baking soda, clothes are just never clean. Will not balance for anything, we have tried everything. I absolutely hate this washing machine.

Troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 22 of your manual, which is available on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product's page. Sounds are specifically discussed on page 24. Among other tips, we recommend ensuring the washer is leveled (the leveling legs can be adjusted if needed); if it's not level, that may lead to extra vibration and noise. We also have an article about noises on our GE Appliances website, titled "Top Load Washer - Noises Heard During Agitation"; you can view that when you look up the title and click the 'Support' tab.
