Ink is ink. But I've always felt HP ink appears brighter and clearer on paper compared to my other printer. Just wish a cartridge would last longer than it does. Ink is so expensive these days.

I actually came home from Best Buy with two of these (long story). I put one in my printer and got the message, "Printer Failure. There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on." Did that; same message. HP's help site suggested unplugging the printer for a minute. Did that; same message. I searched the net for help with this message, and found a half dozen ways to clean the printer's print head. That's the cubbyhole in the printer that you push all the cartridges into. (It's actually quite easy to remove from the printer, and it would be worth trying to clean it yourself if the alternative is buying a new print head, which costs well north of 100 bucks.) Before going this route and making a fool of myself I went back to the HP site and had a stilted conversation with their 'virtual assistant', After telling me to do all the things I'd already done it finally suggested replacing the cartridges with new ones. Even though this smelled like an attempt to sell me more stuff, I just 'happened' to already have that second one on hand, so why not try using it instead? To my surprise, it worked! Now I know that HP is capable of selling me a cartridge that's DOA, so it got kicked off my pedestal of trustworthy companies. Since serendipity isn't going to strike twice I'm going to collect the pieces for a DIY head cleaning kit just to CMA.

Excited the HP makes larger quantity cartridges so you can go longer before changing cartridges

This ink works great with the printer. I have not had any issues with the quality of ink.
