I'm extra careful with all products I purchase, especially electronics... upon opening box I found that this computers top piece was completely broken clean off, major disappointment/returned within 2hrs of purchase and saw it was clearance for a reason

mine lasted 26 days. currently resides at the city dump. crashed and tried to repair itself. I put it in the trash.

This computer is a visually appealing and very useable little package. The main focus of this computer is for home entertainment, but it is totally workable as a standard desktop computer. It connects to your display via HDMI and will play 1080p HD video. With the built in bluetooth you can use the mouse and keyboard that come with it, or get your own bluetooth accessories. Personally I have hooked up a PS4 controller to use and it works pretty well from the sofa. It is a lot of fun to browse the web and watch movies and TV from a home theater PC, not to mention that you can do so much more on it (games, social media, YouTube, and etc). Truly my only compliant is with Windows 10. On more than one occasion when wanting to watch a movie or tv show, Windows 10 has decided to install updates for 30+ minutes and we would have to use other options.

I haven't gotten a new desktop in a while. So I wont lie, I was really excited to get my hands on this. The speaker is really quite good (not as good as my 7.1 theater) truly I was surprised. It is at least as good as my Bluetooth speaker I use with my phone and that is saying something especially as this is a desktop with a speaker. I love the form factor too. Very modern and not so industrial like a conventional tower. Windows 10 was easy to set up. I was going in just a few minutes. AND even though I am probably going to use a wired internet connection, the builtin WiFi is lightening fast. I haven't had a chance to try gaming or run huge excel spreadsheets but I do know that it is very responsive with windows 10 standard and installed. The price is great for what you get especially with the awesome wireless keyboard and mouse - nice touch.

It's a great little computer. I just needed a computer to do some light surfing and entertainment. I have an i7 desktop and laptop for the heavy lifting. It's a great looking unit sitting on my bookshelf. I bought the i3 knowing it would be slower than my i7s, but man, is it slower. But the i3 was on sale. I'm a little miffed that I didn't get the keyboard/mouse that was advertised with the product. I have those with my desktop and they're very sharp. This came with pretty generic keyboard/mouse, wireless, but generic. Overall, I'd buy it again if it were on sale, but its not worth the retail price.

It is really sssslllllllllooooooooowwwwwwwwwww. I should have heeded the other cautionary reviews, but since this is just going to be an email and web surfing machine I was less concerned. Then, this morning it went on sale. I thought...what can I lose? Well, what I could lose was time. While the unpacking and turn-on were flawless, the time for the processor to execute is shockingly slow. I am hooked up to a wired ethernet with good results from other machines on the same network. Really surprised at the sluggishness in a Win10 environment. One other major disappointment is that with the nice speaker and the included bluetooth, i expected that I could use this as a bluetooth speaker for other devices. Nope. Opportunity lost. The things that I like are the obvious form factor and the simplicity of the device. It looks great on the desk. A great idea by HP, but poorly executed. I am sure it will be moderately useful for its intended purpose of this machine. However, other than looking super cool, there are few compliments to give.
