Good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup had to be done twice for both devices I purchased. Despite the double setup, usage and stability have been solid since installation. Make sure you have good wireless signal on 2.4g at your garage ceiling.

Works...almost every time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Usually works as expected. Every once in a while, it will stop working and after a few times of opening and closing the garage with the genie remote, it is back in sync and works again through homekit

Good, but not great
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device and easy to setup, but lacks HomeKit integration. Bummer. Was hoping for something to assist when coming home on my motorcycle. Still like the Amazon Key ability.

Easy setup, works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have an Apple ecosystem, this works very well. Some reviews will knock this product because other platforms simply don’t support it. This is a HomeKit device, meaning Apple. Easy to setup. Grab your Home App and assign it a room. Automation works well. Make sure your WiFi signal to the garage is strong. If not you’ll need to either move your router closer or add a repeater or additional node. If you have a vinyl door, just clean it well and use the 3M that’s included. You won’t need the screws. Holds great.

Garage door opener
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good for the garage and to be able to open with your phone using home kit. Sometimes loses connection but still better than just having the push button door openera

Great for Older Garage Door Openers
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Lift Master that is older than 1985 and this works as expected. I had some minor issue setting the controller up until I realized that you need to have the door sensor attached to the door, paired and have the remote Security settings in the Home app set prior to having Siri open or close the door. I initially had some concern over the battery life of the door sensor in freezing temperatures, however I have a remote keypad which still operates at -40 F. I would expect that the battery life would be comparable .

Actually works
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have installed this exactly as described by the directions and made some modifications based on other reviewers ( mount door sensor in the top right corner of garage door) and have so far zero issues for months. I would buy this again as it’s the best way to get a HomeKit garage for a value price. If you have car play on your car you will get an option pop up on your display to open and close your garage which is exactly what I was looking for (be sure to turn on all system services for iPhones).

Wow works great
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.easy to install works awesome ! I'm getting more and more into this "smart home" stuff, but a lot of the homekit enabled products out there are expensive and buggy.

Easy Install and Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an inexpensive way to turn my existing garage door opener into a smart opener. Install and setup was easy. So far everything is working great. Time will tell if it stays that way.

Great HomeKit adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quick install about 25 minutes. Set up was fast and easy. Unit came with a screw driver and all I needed was a ladder. I have google WiFi so I have a strong signal and my garage door is a Guardian. My button does not have a learn button.

Homekit ready and quick to connect. Has a few bugs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Quick connect and works great - when it works. Cons: loses connection intermittently. I wish it was more stable but that could be a connection issue. If you are looking for an inexpensive opener that is easy to connect and control from Homekit - this is it!

Works well sometimes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first homelink device. After getting a no response a couple of times I moved the controller to a place that is guaranteed reception now no connection problems. I used a short, small power strip to move it underneath a large solid beam that appears to have interfered with the wireless signal. Now the problem I have is with notifications, not sure if it is homelink (I’m using an iPad as a hub), sometimes it works perfectly and sometimes no notifications, though if I look at the status of the device it is correct (open/closed) and transitions correctly but sometimes no notifications. Overall except for the notifications it works well now.

Insignia/HomeKit Door Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple HomeKit devices setup easily and this was no exception. Overall installation was easy enough. It took about a day for the unit to update the door open/close icon in Home. Now updates quickly when opening Home on your phone. Siri opens & closes my door now, This is a HomeKit only run device as there is no 3rd party (Insignia) app on the app store and isn't needed. Happy with it, nice to have the door open before you get to the garage,

Great Addition Easy Setup
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got 2 of these for my garage door and they were super simple to put up. They were a tad finicky at first but have worked great ever sense.

Works great but not all the time.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this so when I ride my motorcycle I don’t have to fumble in my pocket for the garage door opener or park my bike then, go inside, open the door and move my bike inside. It mostly works great and I’ve found that I can open my garage through my watch using “hey Siri” even when I’m at the bar (found by showing off). Now it works most of the time but every now and then it will give me an error message. Mostly this is cleared up when I get in WiFi range but three times so far it hasn’t. Lastly I don’t get the updates when my garage door is opened when I’m out of wifi range as well.

It works.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install. It did take a few attempts to set up with the Home app on iOS, but once it did, it worked perfectly. I’ve had it for a while now and no problems.
