  • Pay Attention To Installation of Control Wire

    Make sure you have the control wire situation figured out before you install this. Several people had the same problem I did, where you don't get any power. You MUST have the control wire properly connected, and have the right wiring harness. Purchase the wiring harness with this, and you'll do fine.

    The JVC unit does not have a very responsive touch screen! I am constantly looking for a sweet spot in order to relay My commands through the touchscreen.

    I love this stereo. The only thing is Best Buy. Kind of screwed up on this one. I forgot to connect my SiriusXM.

    So I'm doing a review about 8 months of owning my JVC and it's been good to me no problems with it I have it installed in a 2007 Chevy Tahoe fits perfect no complaints on this digital media receiver

    The Radio works, boosted my BOSE Sound system that was factory in my Acura. Excellent Sound for the Money. Problems: Screen Froze the First Week of Use. Still Played Sound. Car had to be turned off and On for it work. And also the Screen may freeze from Phone Calls. Or Prevent Incoming Calls and send any incoming calls straight to Voice Mail. It May or May Not Hang Up Calls right away . Have not tried playing Videos or movies, I am returning while I still can. For $200 and software freezes, why even sell it JVC ?

    Great overall value. Display is attractive and the navigation of use is easy for the non technical. All we had to do was adjust the equalizer to get the sound that we expected. Worked well with the stock speakers in my son's mustang.

    Great product and love using CarPlay with it. Only minor annoyance is that the time/date will rest and/or get off by a few minutes for some reason. Definitely a software issue and not a hardware issue. But, I use this mainly only with CarPlay so this issue doesn’t really matter to me much at all. Value is good and does the job perfectly. Easy recommendation.

    Radio, BlueTooth and Backup camera all work fine. A little confusing to navigate menus. My only (minor) complaint is that the "metadata" supplied by FM stations does not display (ie, the current song title and artist).
