A: This unit does not have Android Auto. Android Mirroring is different. With the JVC mirroring app installed on your Android device, you'll see a mirror image of your smartphone's screen on the JVC's display. Touch control is supported from both screen and smartphone.
Q: Do i need mounting kit to install
A: Thanks for your question. In all likelihood yes you will need an install kit, and you will need one that is specific to your vehicle. Making the install even easier is the use of a wiring harness that is designed for your car. Having both the kit and the wiring harness will make your install seamless and give you the performance and look of an advanced OEM system. If doing that is not for you, Best Buy offers free installation. (You need to pay for kit and harness) Not only do you get a lifetime warranty on the workmanship, but they will even remove the new radio and put back the old one when you sell your car...FREE....!
Q: Does this unit have an integrated gps system?
A: No but you can mirror your android. If you have an apple you're in better luck it works better with apple as far as maps and texts go.
A: Our installation was free but it was tricky to find a best buy near us that would do it. We ended up finding one somewhat near by, but it wasn't our local one that we normally go to. It wasn't even our first, second, or third choice. It was still worth it to not have to do it ourselves. When you are purchasing it I believe it gives you the list of locations nearby that would do the installation. You type in your ZIP code and expand the search parameters as needed. I will say you do have to purchase an install kit as well, so that adds another hundred or so to the price depending on your setup. We purchased one but they didn't end up needing all of the parts so we were able to return some. That was nice.
Q: Can I add a rear view camera to this
A: YES! We did works great
A: There is no back up camera included. It is however camera capable.
A: No in mirrors the nav on your phone and puts it on the display
A: You need a steering wheel harness and steering wheel interface to access the steering wheel controls. The microphone should have came with the unit. You install it by your sun visor. I returned this unit due to the sound. This is the absolute worst sounding car stereo. It sounded worst than the factory unit. The sound drops out on local radio stations also. Best buy let me upgrade to a better unit. Much happier with the Pioneer.
