The main reason I selected this model was the Kenwood name for audio and the Garmin name for maps. Plus, it allowed adjustable lines for the backup camera, and the backup camera was a major reason for upgrading the radio in my Ford F250, both for parking and for hooking up camper. The unit works well enough. I can't complain about the software. The navigation software is decent. It has useful functions. I like the fuel tracking and trip histories. The radio and BlueTooth sources are easy to navigate. The handsfree microphone works very well for phone calling. All in all, it functions well enough. Whereas I read a lot of complaints about the Inrix traffic app functions, I found it worked passably well for me. It usually connects. It's quirky at times, and sometimes, even though app says it's connected, radio won't show traffic data/apps until 15 or more minutes into a trip. But it was functional. Another minus is that the car events in the iPhone don't happen with wireless connection. Whereas every rental car I've used triggers the iPhone's car events (reminder when leaving car, auto parking pin, etc) using BlueTooth connection, this unit does not support that and Kenwood support confirmed it. The phone must be plugged in to the USB connector. I did not want to have to plug and unplug the phone for each trip in the car. Might as well not have BlueTooth then. However, it's extremely disappointing to spend over $1000 on a package where Kenwood will only update the maps once per year, and even then, they are terribly out of date. I spoke with Garmin technical support multiple times, who informed me that they update their maps 3 times per year; it is Kenwood that is limiting the updates. I do have to mention that both Kenwood and Garmin tech support are topnotch. When I had issues with updating the software and the maps, they were stellar at walking me through getting the software updated, even staying on the phone with me as I went out to the truck to walk through their instructions. They are 5-star support. I wanted a dedicated navigation unit (i.e. not use my phone) for travelling with the camper trailer. I purchased the unit in Dec 2016. However, the road construction near my house, completed in Dec 2014 was not in the map! When I was travelling in North GA, looking for an unfamiliar location, I discovered another major highway not in the map. I still enjoyed the radio and convinced myself it's just a matter of map updates. I updated with the next available update in Aug 2017. Then I discovered another major construction near Cleveland, GA, not in the map. Not wanting to believe I wasted $1000, I waited until the next map update. The July 2018 update does NOT contain the Cleveland construction completed in July 2017! Map updates are $79, by the way. You do not get a free one with radio purchase. For this reason I can't recommend it. I had been planning to put a second unit in my other car, but I cannot now. It appears the best way to get quality navigation in car is to get a cheaper Apple CarPlay compatible unit and just use Apple Maps or Waze after the iOS 12 update coming soon. I'm not finding In-Dash navigation to be much better from any vendor. They all have their problems. It's pretty sad that I need to keep a $100 windshield mount GPS unit in my truck to be a dedicated backup to a $800 dash unit.

I haven't had a lot of time to use it and figure out all the options but so far I like it. I had to have the windshield replaced after getting it installed and now the XM music doesn't work.

Love this unit, works great! The only issue I have, is the warning screen that comes on every time you turn the unit on,..... it gets a little annoying after a while.

UI not as intuitive as it could be. Difficult to learn without a lot of playing around. Don't like that I can only access the volume from a knob; Can't find an easy way to shift between modes. Galre on the screen during the day, too bright at night w/o an easy dim feature. I realize it isn't as expensive as some other models, but at ~$800 before discounts and another $500 for the install in my Lexus I was expecting a lot more.

Works perfect,nice display but could be better if had sun light proof. I recommend this product,makes your dashboard look awesome

I've only had the system for a few weeks, and after a few visits to get the bugs out, it is working fine. I have no complaints.

Bought this to replace system that came with RV because it was difficult to use and see screen. The Kenwood solved all. My problems plus has built in navigation

I purchased an open box unit. No instructions for features so I am still learning some features, but it's very user friendly and functions great with my IPhone 7

I originally bought the 6.7 inch one, this one was bought to replace one stolen. It is big enough, works as advertised and is a great radio.

I purchased this stereo forr my car ,Love it!Need to have the manual to ensure that all the components are hooked up and selected properly!

This unit had dual zone capability so I can listen to what I want in the front while the kids listen to their choice in the rear

this was an upgrade to the car and it is working great. had some tech problems with it at first but your geek squad took care of it.

This unit has an outstanding display with bright colors, and the features top notch

We don't know all the tricks yet, but like it. It is not as user-friendly as we would like, but it is a great product.
