Great bang for your buck!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing honestly is very nice, it caught me by surprise how loud it can get, very worth the 250, of course if you can do everything yourself just do that you save money but this thing the way it comes for 250 is well worth it, yes its wired at 2 ohms and ech coil is 4 ohms, i have it connected to my jl audio 600/1 slash v3, sounds very good out of the box, definitely worth the buy

This is a 4ohm dvc sub wired in parallel for 2ohms
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, it’s been close to 7 years later and it finally blew. The voice coil is shot. It couldn’t handle Future - My savages any longer lol. But what’s more funny is that when I opened up the box. the subwoofer part number doesn’t match the description. Mine ends in 124 while the description ends in 122. So it seems I got the 4ohm dvc sub and not the 2ohm dvc sub. I do understand that it’s wired in parallel for a final impedance of 2ohms but this is sort of misleading.

A speaker that won't make the plates rattle.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good low notes for the money. For a prebuilt it did the job well enough.

Blew in 3 Months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this paired with a Pioneer GM-D8601 amplifier that puts out 500W RMS, which is perfectly paired to this Kicker speaker that accepts 500W RMS. After 3 months of moderate use, it blew. No block parties, no competition jams. Just regular usage. I assumed that it must be the Pioneer amp, because Kicker is top notch quality. Traced wiring. Tore everything apart. Couldn't find a fault. Finally, I figured I'd take a peak at the speaker. There it was. One of the coils was burnt up. I've used Kicker components for other projects. I guess I'll see how good Kicker's warranty service is.

Best Budget Sub
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this on a local henderson branch, it was an open box but for an open box this was on excellent condition. All parts, stickers and manual are still in original packaging and most of all this sub sounded great

Poor Performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a powered 10" infinity sub in my work van. I originally had it paired with a v12 707 alpine amp putting about 375 watts to it. It wasn't performing very well. So I put a JL 500/1d to it and it still is not performing very well. At medium volumes it sounds ok . But when you crank it it starts to distort cant handle the power I guess. I have been installing subwoofers since the late 80's. This is by far the cheesiest I have ever used. Do not buy this subwoofer. You can get much more bang for your buck out of Pioneers at walmart. For the price I expected much better performance. I am putting my infinity back in because it hit harder.

Don't....Even....Bother
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned plenty of Kicker products including several L7 and L5 Solobaric subs. This was my frist time buying a Kicker Comp sub and I will NEVER buy another one. I paired this up with the Kicker CXA600.1 amplifer, which was supposed to be a perfect match and the subwoofer blew in less than a week. There is no way this thing is capable of handling 600w RMS. It's more like 200-300w RMS. I only had the amp turned up halfway. Don't waste your time with this sub. It's garbage.

not a 2 ohm speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i have the dual 12 2 ohm box and love it. i bought this box and found it have a 4 ohm speaker in it !!!! odd? id just like to swap the speaker out for a 2 ohm so i can wire all 3 to a 1.3 ohm final load to run the off of one single 1 ohm stable amp. and the speakers in the dual box are indeed 2 ohm speakers wired to 2 ohm final load like there supposed to!
