    Laundry Tower Will Not Connect to WiFi or ThinQ

    I recently purchased the WKEX200HBA laundry tower, mainly because I was told I could control the wash and dry functions through the ThinQ app (and potentially Alexa). After over a dozen hours on the phone with LG, numerous emails, Twitter exchanges, and so on, I still cannot get the ThinQ app to recognize my laundry tower. I am running a 2.4 ghz wifi network at home. I have the ThinQ app on my iPhone 11. The app has no trouble connecting to my LG OLED TV. So, I do not believe there is a problem with my network, my phone, or the app. The router is located barely 20 feet from the laundry tower. Each failed attempt to connect follows this pattern: ONE: We activate the wifi on the washer by holding the TEMP button for three seconds. The wifi icon lights up. TWO: We open the app on the phone and search for the machine using the numerous options offered (search nearby, select from a list, and so on). This never work. The laundry tower is not discoverable over wifi or otherwise. THREE: Following the instructions on the app, we then go into wifi settings on the phone and select the LG washer from the list of wifi networks. We use the last four characters (twice) as the password. This "works" to the extent that the phone settings show that the phone is connected to the LG washer's wifi network. But we cannot get further than this. Contrary to the instructions of several LG telephone reps, there is no prompt in the app for a next step. According to the app, there is nothing left to do after connecting to the washer's wifi network. So we are left where we started: Once connected to the washer's wifi network, the washer still does not appear in the ThinQ app. Same thing is true if we switch the phone back to the home wifi network. The washer just never appears in ThinQ. NOTE: We have tried numerous workarounds and troubleshooting tricks suggested by LG, including using two phones, one of them as a hotspot. This did not work, and we hit the same brick wall as described above. We have also unplugged and reset the machine. No luck. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Doesn't work. Having followed LG's troubleshooting advice to the letter, and having no success, I am ready to request a service visit from LG. I am hoping that we will be visited by a technician who is knowledgeable about both the appliance and the app. There does not appear to be a lot of overlap between the appliance people and the app people, which I think is part of the problem. Most of the time, when we call LG for help, the reps are completely stumped and provide either incorrect advice, or suggest we take obvious steps that we've already taken. In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this, or can identify what is going on, please help. I am very eager to resolve this.

    Bought a open box item took it home it didn’t work online Best Buy it as “OPEN BOX Excellent condition “ TOTAL LIE !! When I asked to get a new one they said because it was open box they coii you lent give me a new one had to be another open box !!! It’s soo misleading why would I get another open box when the first open box I got was defective. I can’t trust the company’s “word” on EXCELLENT CONDITION . Now I have to wait for a technician to come fix it or pay 500 $ more for a new one EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CLEAR I WAS SOLD A DEFECTIVE NON WORKING ITEM ! NEVER BUYING ANY APPLIANCES AND BEST BUY UNRELIABLE

    The delivery man did not show me how to use the dryer .it was larger in size had I know I would have removed the items from the closet .now I have to get someone to remove the sliding door to get my cleaning supplies.

    Looks good, worked well for 1.5 years, then start getting u5 error code, which is the drum shocks/vibration sensor...now it can't get through 1 small load of wash without stopping...of course we didn't get the extended warranty...so nowadays guess that's necessary ? Poor quality, poor warranty, poor company...repair will cost almost half of a new unit...never again will I buy an LG appliance...only worth it if I order parts and fix myself.

    Breaks once a year. Falls apart Easy!! dont buy

    Do not buy this. Yes its pretty but we have had constant issues with this machine. The balancing rod broke twice- no we didnt put heavy items in it. Then the door seal ring just disintegrated - a month after the warranty. No help from Lg when I called they dont back their produce. The LG is only 3 years old and will need to be replaced soon i think because it has issues over and over. Our samsung is covered very well we have had it for 7 years- the drying also doesnt work - only on high

    Zero stars if I could. Bought this unit with gas dryer, along with the geek squad protection, the dryer has been only intermittently working and after 7 weeks of going back and forth with geek squad and LG to send out a technician, still don’t have a functioning dryer. I already verified gas pressure and capacity, so has to be the unit. FO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL, ESPECIALLY FROM BEST BUY. After bestbuy logistics issues coupled with poor quality product from LG, never buying anything from Best Buy and LG ever again. I advise everyone to stay away!

    Extremely poor customer service

    I love my washer and dryer. My husband passed away the week before I got it. I got the warranty as I knew I would be on my own. When I went to do my first load of wash I noticed there was a large scratch across the front of my washer. I emailed Best Buy and they responded that they would contact the geek squad. I am so disappointed. No one ever responded

    LG Not Interested In Sending Out Missing Parts

    We received this unit. Part of the setup was to remove 4 shipping bolts from the back and install retaining caps / bolts. Also they supply a sort of grip tape to put under the feet to keep the unit from moving around. Neither came with our unit. We were told to put tape over the holes in back and could purchase grip tape from a hardware strore.

    The worst purchase I ever made. We waited 3 months to receive it and then the dryer is not working another 6 weeks we are waiting for someone to come checked this out. Absolutely not recommend
