This didn't work for me, it had to be updated, my computer wouldn't accept the download. Not easy as it says.

costly to keep existing phone number, not well explained by sales personnel. I returned the Magic Jack for a store credit.

Does not work, can not answer calls when they come in. Picks up then hangs up on caller.

I hoped it would work but if you are on hold for more than 10 minutes you will be dropped.

Magic Jack does not show west coast time on voice mail. It is always three hours off.

I was paying AT&T U-verse or $45 per MONTH for a voip phone service. I dumped ATT for Magic Jack Go and kept my home number. for the same price per YEAR. Also, I set up Magic Jack so that all my voicemails are automatically forwarded to both my wife's and my email accounts, so we both get voicemails via audio files with email - no more complaints that my wife doesn't get voicemails. (To be clear, Magic Jack forwards to my Hotmail account, and then with a rule in my Hotmail account, it automatically forwards to my wife's email.#. Finally, the Magic Jack app is the KICKER. I can make and receive home phone calls on my iPad anywhere around the world #or iphone & Android). It was great for when we were travelling in Europe making calls back to the US, or for cheap local calls in Europe - no need for expensive cell roaming. Also great for answering the phone when I have the iPad already in front of me at home. Excellent sound quality. I frequently work from home and use Magic Jack on average for two hours a day. No dropped calls, good call quality. Finally, for advanced networking people, I also configured my home router to prioritize Magic Jack traffic on my home network - I don't think it is needed but was fun to do.

I am a very happy customer of Magic Jack plus. I had it for a year and I just renewed my account. It does all it says it does, and the sound quality is excellent. I like the fact that I get an email every time I have voicemail waiting. You can make calls/ and pick up messages either on the computer, or on the handset. I got rid of the answering machine. I took the MJ with me on a trip, and saved a bundle on my cellphone roaming charges. For $35.00 a YEAR, (even cheaper if you pay for 5 years) I have excellent home phone service. I recommend Magic Jack Plus to everyone.

Reliable product, works well. This is cheapest VoIP option out there.

I bought the MagicJack Go planning to replace my phone service with my existing carrier. Tested it out and the call quality seemed very good, with nice features for the money. I wanted to retain my home phone number, so after the MagicJack tested successfully, I ported my home number to the MagicJack. I did not intend to cancel my carrier's internet and TV coverage. Surprise! This morning my carrier cancelled my complete account with no advanced warning. No internet, no TV. When I contacted my carrier (Frontier) I was told they automatically discontinue the whole package when the number is ported. One would think that if they had any level of customer service they would contact you before cancelling the contract. Fortunately, thanks to the bundled MagicJack app and voicemail, I'm still able to get calls on my cell, even without my internet service.

MagicJack has proven to be an excellent replacement for my land line phone/fax. Before purchase I was skeptical about voice quality and fax compatibility, but no more. MagicJack has proven itself to have perfectly clear and unbroken voice transmission. Fax transit/receive has also been working great. I use my Epson multi-function printer/scanner/fax, and it does require occasional adjustment of settings depending on the recipient's fax machine settings; not a flaw of MagicJack, but rather idiosyncracies of fax machines. Another benefit was getting caller ID, and simultaneous incoming call ringing on my home phone and cell phone. I highly recommend MagicJack.

The device was easy to install. I transferred my existing landline phone number (which was through Frontier Communications). Magic Jack's instructions stated it would take 7-10 days. It only took 3, and they sent me an email stating that it was successful. You can check you number on their website to make sure that it is eligible to be transferred. I was charged an additional one time charge of 19.95 to transfer my number. There was also an additional charge of 4.00 per year that was a 911 fee. The voice quality is very good, the voice mail was easy to set up, and the app on my smart phone which allows you to make calls from your Magic Jack number works well. I've only been using it for 1 month, but have been very happy so far.

Never thought I'd have a use for Magic Jack, but I'm so glad I bought this. it's super inexpensive, is the perfect solution for us to have an extra phone (in addition to our cell phones) that uses the internet. Am very happy with this product. Very versatile, too.

I have been a magic jack user for many years, & have (3) of them. When I go to renew, they add $3 for administrative fee to the $35 per year renewal fee. Therefore, the full cost per year is $38.00 per year. That's still a low price for basic phone service. When I phone someone, their service works in almost all the US, but there are some rural area codes the service will not connect.

While I will agree that Vonage is better, given the cost of the MagicJack - GO VoIP Adapter, this is an excellent deal! Simply find it as a huge cost savings!
