This is the 2nd magic jack I have purchased. No problem in porting my landline phone number to it. The only thing I miss is the caller id name display, still shows the caller id number, but it is worth it not paying over $40.00 a month for a POTS line without even long distance.

If youu have internet service and still want to maintain a personal telephone number (or still want to maintain your "landline" number, the cheapest (with no service degradation) way to do it is thru MagicJack. Vonage provide outstanding $10/month service but you can't beat MagicJack's $180.00 (almost the total I paid) for 6 years. You just have to make sure you have a better Internet service provider.

It's cheaper than regular phone. If you want to save money, that's the way to go.

I haven't really used this specific magic jack unit yet, but the one that my sister bought for our family to use in the Philippines a couple of years ago was great. It allows us to call them (and them us) easily without paying international long distance fees, which can get expensive if you're not careful. I bought this one for us to use here, replacing our overpriced digital phone line.

Bought MagicJack to replace my land line. The setup was simple and easy. I'm happy with the switch I made, and you can't beat the difference in cost for a land line versus the MagicJack setup. My only complaint is a small one. Sometimes the connection isn't as good as it should be with the portable phone, but the base phone is always fine. I've had the MagicJack for about 3 months.

Fairly easy to install and once installed it and the application work perfectly Other positive is the cost. 1 year of service included in its cost. Calls seem to be working fine Another positive is the ability to use a tablet, computer and cellphone just by downloading the app.

My new MagicJack is awesome! Very simple to set up and crystal clear audio. You really can't beat the value. If you want to keep your current phone number just make sure that you keep your current provider active until your MagicJack is activated then cancel.

It works very well. Save my monthly phone bill.i don't have to pay unused land line phone any more.

This is a great product when you just need a home phone line. I wish there would have been a disclosure that there is an additional fee to be paid to 911, but other than that would definitely recommend this over paying for a home line with your phone provider.

I am really pleased with the performance and ease of use. I was able to select a phone number in my area code and my fax machine works fine with it....I now have a landline phone for a full year for about what my cable company wanted to charge for 2 months. Make sure you have decent bandwidth on your internet connection
