I got tired of paying the phone company $40 a month for a digital line, so I purchased this device for a lot less and I can’t be any happier. It works perfectly and was easy to setup. The sound quality is excellent. I love it.

This is a good phone service for the price you pay. Including the fee for porting your number you get to pay an average of only $5 per month. What’s not explicitly described is how they restrict dialing into pay-per-minute numbers. In other words you cannot dial into a webex conference unless you have a toll free number access, or you are willing to pay more for international calling through a different provider (example, Reliance Global calling charges you only $7 for 600 minutes of calling to specific countries, only if you use their pay-per-minute number, but with magicJack you cannot benefit out of the low pricing. Seems like magicJack forces you to use their international prepaid calling cards that are more expensive)

You save a lot and get the same quality or may be better !!!!!!!

Calls consistently clear. Much more economical than phone service. Great buy overall.

Easy to setup. Cheap for a home phone. Voice sounds pretty good on calls most of the time. I have been using these for years just as a backup phone, the last one finally stopped working so I updated to the newer style.

MagicJack is great when you need a phone other than your cell

I would have given the product 5 starts but two things would not allow me to do so... both apply to the smart phone app. 1) Be aware that you can send and receive basic SMS text messages through your Magic Jack phone line using the Smart phone / Tablet app but you cannot send or receive MMS text messages (Pictures/videos). 2) I most likely need to set some sort of QoS on my router for Magic Jack but outside of the box plug n play can give a horrible echo to the person you are on the phone with while using the app. If either of those things change I'll come back and update the review! Outside of those two things, I love the MagicJack service and it works great with home phones! You really can't beat the yearly cost!

The Magic Jack was easy to set up. I took it out of the box. Followed the instruction to set it up and I was done. So simple and easy. The quality of the phone calls is the same as what I was getting from Comcast and way cheaper.
