If you are trying to save on your phone bill then this will solve your problem. The call quality is great and for 35 dollars a year that is cheap. Product is easy to set up as well. But you will need fast Internet to use it.

VOIP device that’s Totally Worth It!

I purchased this device to save on our phone bill about 10 months ago and it’s been one of the best inexpensive purchases I’ve ever made. I have it connected to an Ethernet port on our wireless router vs a PC that would have to be on all the time. Setting up the account online was kinda easy, but I still took my time to do it correctly. Porting over our telephone number from our cable provider was easy too, but there was a fee to do so. Call quality has been excellent- no one can tell the difference between the old land line & this VOIP device. I don’t use the cell phone app (redundant for me) but I have used it once and also the app on my MacBook Pro once just to try it. The local taxes & 911 fees are very low too. Not sure why I waited so long to give this a try.

We purchased the Magic Jack Go about one month ago, and have been very happy with it. Setup was easy and I can't think of a single complaint. Some reviewers were unhappy that the caller ID only gave the phone number of the caller, but I entered all my contacts into my Panasonic phone system and it gives the name of every one that I entered. Calls are clear, I was able to port my old number, and you can't beat the price!

In an effort to get around the bundled Internet/tv/phone price racket, I decided to have my phone number ported to the MagicJack. Now if I get some fantastic offer to come back to Fios, I'll just get Internet and basic tv only (I have Netflix and a Roku which provides all the tv anyone could want). MagicJack cost $40, which covers the unit and the entire first year or service. Thereafter it's something like $36/yr. Porting your phone number, if you want to keep your number, was around $20 one-time cost. Alternatively, you can just get a new phone number for free, one that telemarketers aren't aware of, and not have to put up with them. The quality has been fine. The unit can either be used with your computer, or cabled to your router, as I did. I have a winter home in Florida, so that tiny piece of hardware will come with me, allowing me to have my long-time phone number down there also. So far, no problem with quality, dropped calls, etc.

I have been a MagicJack user for the past 7 years using the Origanal MagicJack and have been mostly happy with the service considering the annual savings. The call quality was usually pretty good, I decided to splurge and purchase the new MagicJack Plus. Setup was eazy. I set it up to use my existing magicjack phone number, then use it as a stand-alone unit (without it being connected to a computer) plugged directly into the wall. The call quality is far better than the original! I have had NO issues so far with stuttering calls due to others using the internet while I am talking on the telephone ,and No disconnections since it is being used as a stand-alone unit. The magicjack plus also will notify you through the app if you have a new magicjack voicemail

I did a lot of research before deciding on MagicJack. It was easy to set up (customer service helped). It is working well. A couple of things I didn't realize - different ring tones cannot be set up for different numbers calling in; it takes 5-7 days for the phone number to switch over (if you keep your own and pay the $10) but you can keep using your old service until it switches, My primary phone had to be near the router (extensions can be anywhere).

The Magic Jack - GO works as well as my phone service through Time Warner Cable at a fraction of the price. My only complaint was that it took almost a week for my phone number to port over.

This device has more than exceeded my expectations. I wanted to keep my landline phone number alive even though we seldom get phone calls, but the ones we do are important. MagicJack will port your existing phone number for a small fee to their system. Connecting to our home network the phone quality is very good and the features like call forwarding, voicemail, etc. work great. My 1st year is subscription free and moving forward it will cost $3 a month! That is fantastic. And as an added bonus the MagicJack can travel with us to our second home on weekends and any where else we travel to. I love it.

It is been 2 weeks using the service and working good so far. Good for price and includes 12 months free service. Got price match from best buy. Needs little modem knowledge to setup to receive incoming calls and this instructions are not mentioned in setup guide. Quick way to reach MJ customer care is only by chat.So needs some patience.

The first one I had lasted 5 years, the 2nd was when you no longer had to plug it into the computer-it was junk and only lasted a couple months. I didn’t get another one until now and it’s working waaaay better. 1st year is free then you pay but it’s still cheaper than a landline. The Bestbuy warranty is cheaper and better than the magicjack warranty- definitely recommended. Even has 911.

I like having a second phone. It's good to have a backup and I like not giving my cell number to every office. It took a minute to hook up, and I had some confusing moments, but so far so good. I was able to switch over my home number from my previous carrier, which then automatically notified them to cancel service and stop billing me. I have an answering machine so I don't need to use their voicemail, but it is offered. Call quality has been great and no issues so far. I'm excited that this will be something I can continue to use, since the savings will be enormous! I
