I got rid of land line a few years back but my wife wanted peace of mind of home phone. So instead of paying traditional monthly service decided on this and have no regrets. Not perfect but great economical option. Get what you pay for and more.

Was so tired of paying outrageous prices for Spectrum phone service. Decided to try magicjack. besides having to pay for the transfer of my number, the service has been as good as Spectrums. Do yourself a favor and get majicjack go and pay for your phone in one payment. 911 access was required but was only $6 for the year.

Good call quality, you can't beat cost of the phone service

I have been using this for almost a decade now. Now I use as a backup phone at home, and rarely call on this. It's simple to use and easy to extend plan without device replacement. Call quality cannot be compared with traditional phone but considerable and can work with it.

I got a very good price during the holiday season. Best Buy service was good. But I'm not very happy with the magic jack itself as there is a low static sound which we can hear all the time. Even the people on the other end can hear it. I thought the problem was with my internet and router. So I got a high end router and a very good speed internet service which was of no help at all. If someone is willing to deal with this sound, as they may be using this as a backup phone or something, then this may be a very cost effective solution. But it's not good as a phone on which you want to talk for a long time. I even tried to get it fixed by the magic jack people, but didn't help.

This is a great way to cut the cost of your home phone service and pay a very low yearly fee. Make sure you've got a good, fast internet connection. You can even have calls forwarded to your cell phone.

The phone service is good but it should be noted that there are limited phone exchanges that are "connected" with this service. That means you can call out to any exchange but phone numbers in exchanges not listed cannot call you. Otherwise, good service.
