I am excited to reduce my monthly expenses by using Magic Jack instead of spectrum for my home phone service. The only drawback that I can see is that when calling 911 they will not automatically be able to see your location. We were able to keep our same phone number by paying a one time fee of $20.

Only negative I found was it has to stay connected to a computer at all times.

The Magic Jack does exactly what I need it to do I use it for my job and did not want to pay for a land line. I am able to make calls and receive calls with no problem the only complaint I have is regarding the uploading of the software to get it started...

I had first generation magic jack for almost 10 years. Decided to upgrade to this. App for cell phone is very convenient if you are traveling and you can just hand out one number. Great for homes with dead cell zones.

why did I wait so long. magic jack is clear and dependable

I did not expect this to work. I just cut my phone line from CenturyLink last March because it costed me about $32 a month without caller ID. I will going to pay only $35 annually for next year since it has 12-month free service, excellent savings plus I got caller ID for the first time.

We wanted to have a land-line at home as a back up in case one of our cell phones was misplaced. For the price, MagicJack can't be beat. The installation and online set up is very easy. You do need to pay an extra $18 a year for the 911 service, and enter your home address--small price for the peace of mind.

I’m still old school and want a home phone but don’t want to give $35 a month to Ma Bell. This device does the trick. Plug it in to your network, plug your home phone in, register online and you’re done. The only thing I don’t like was the hidden $19.99 to port your exsisting phone number over.

Great device! If you need a landline, this little device will save you a lot of money. I dropped my overpriced Verizon service. There are some occasional glitches with MJ service but they seem to resolve over time.
