Bought this for my mother to replace her current service with Vonage. Call quality isn't quite as good as Vonage, but for about the same price it was costing for a month of Vonage get a whole year with Magic Jack.

We recently cut the cable cord. We had the triple bundle and reduced it to just Internet. I was reluctant to get a magicJack based on previous reviews. Everything I read is false. This device works perfectly with a good broadband connection. A friend has a slow DSL connection and it doesn't work.

So yeah, a home phone. I don't even know my number but I have it for sending and receiving faxes once a millennia . Suppose it is nice also having a phone which I can call and wake up / annoy my spouse since her cell phone is off.

I had purchased a new I-Mac to replace a Dell all in one that I had the original Magic Jack connected to. After having numerous problems with the new set up I purchased the new unit and instead of connecting to the computer I connected to the router and have not had any problems.

I would definitely recommend this product to someone else, my reasoning behind it is that this version of the magic Jack gives you a number that you can use in conjunction with your current cell phone provider and you get a year service right out of the box!!!

Switched to Majic Jack from Ooma after they increased price (taxes as they call it) to approx $10 for my monthly payment. This device came with one year subscription and then it will cost less then $30 a year. In my opinion it is the cheapest service with very decent quality.

We have cellphones and didn't need a landline until our kids got old enough to stay home alone for a few hours. They have a pay-per-use cellphone but it's either always not charged or missing somewhere. Getting a corded home phone with a magic jack was the perfect solution for us!

I purchased the Magic Jack to replace my Time Warner phone service which seemed to be about $35- $40 per month. The Magic Jack costs about $38 per year so its a no brainer. It works great and I can monitor incoming calls on my home phone on my cell when i'm out.

These devices work well. They fail sometimes in less than a year. They are under warranty but it cost you about $16 to get them replaced. Used the product for years and I had them replaced twice so far.

It does what it is supposed to do. Porting over your old number may not be easy, depending on the service provider. The annual fee is also not clear at the time of purchase but it is still far less than the phone through our cable provider.

As long as you have a spot out of the way from people and pets it should do great. My only problem is that it can easily be disconnected or knocked out of its setting. Put it behind a desk to keep it together and pluged.

So much for the ads that say $20 per month for phone service! I own two magic jacks, one for phone and one for a fax, yes it can fax! How about $30 a year ! All you need is a router for home or your laptop for on the go use. Try it today!

this works great while sending faxes unlike the older model. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to everyone. can't beat the free year of service and such low monthly payment thereafter for a phone. better choice than any bundle with cable companies!
