I bought this magicjack and activated it in LA and sent it to my family back home in México. Now, we can call each other free without using calling cards or pay extra in my phone bill

Installation is a snap especially since this is my third MJ upgrade. However, after trying six times to register the unit and transfer my existing phone number, I have yet to be successful. It says their server may be down. MY Internet is fine. The unit works for the free calls prior to registering.

Love this viop system i have had it for years and wouldn't change back to an old school if u paid me. I can take it anywhereI travel as long as I have my laptop if I wanna connect it to that. Now with the app I just have to download it onto my cell phone and can use it instead of having the actual device with me.. Even if my phone network is down all I have to do I connect to the internet and magic jack can still make and receive calls all for a yearly price of 35.00 u get all the features of a cell or regular house phone.. ilove it have had ot over 9 years and with multiple upgrades through the years.

I thought that telephone service over the internet would not equal what I had from A.T.T. telephone services for most of my life. I was completely surprised when I received as good of quality service with MagicJack GO K1103 VoIP adapter at a much lower cost of about $3.00 per month versus the A.T.T. $30.00 basic service a month and local calls only. I also canceled my second voice over IP Telephone Service with Comcast at $30.00 per month for local and long distance U.S. only. I now have local, long distance and Canada for $3.00 per month and I can also take the on vacation or business and use it anywhere there is a WiFi Network available through my laptop or Tablet Computer. If you have a family member, friend or favorite charity it would make a great gift or donation to lower their phone bills as long as they have a Computer or Tablet and WiFi or Cable Modem Internet Service!

MagicJack has been my telephone service for years. The high prices of the phone company, and the Charter alternative, are simply not worth it. MagicJack is reliable, and since there's no longer a need to have a computer running to use it, there's no reason for me to consider a regular land line.

Voice call qualities are excellent and a very good price.

great choice if you do not want to pay hundreds of dollars in your monthly bill phone, service is good easy to access to the account and could keep my previous number just paid $10 extra for the service.

Simple adapter, which works as expected. Super easy to set up. First one year of service is free. Earlier, the setup was not easy. But in the recent times, the product was enhanced a lot and setup now is a very very simple price. Switch to this and save the money on the monthly phone bill.

Due to my work I need to travel back and forth outside the country, so I decided to buy the magic Jack to be always connected with my customers and it works fine. You just need Ethernet connection and a land phone to be able to use it.

This is the second unit I've purchased. I love them both! I've been able to port over two numbers from my office, can fax with either, or both of these, and the caller I.D. function works as well. The clarity is fantastic, and I've been able to get customer support via live chat with no problems at all. I will be buying another in upcoming weeks. The magic app is also functional and its FREE! Be smart...save money with magic jack! Also, even though you cannot get a phonebook listing with magic jack, MOST areas have private phone book companies or sales consultants so that you can pay for a listing in their book; should be an easy choice to make with the money you'll save with the this product. It has only gotten better over the years since it first entered the market, and I recommend it highly.

i have had it for a month now and it does what i wanted it for took a few minutes to get the settings i wanted such as having answering machine pick up . adjusting volume caller id only shows number of incoming call no name puts me on step away from no land line glad i got it

If you want a no frills phone line, this is the way to go. The operational cost is very low, but the service lacks some features that more expensive VOIP systems have. Really wanted to rate a 5, but the lack of features is the only reason I could not. Product does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I was tired of paying 10-60 dollars a month on phone service. so I'd give magic jack a try. I was first weary of using magic jack because I though it wouldn't work. after installing it real easy I realized that IT WORKED. I am a believer of magic jack and I hope to use this for a very long time hopefully forever!

easy to connect, works as good as any phone I have ever used. We purchased it for my elderly mom who we moved half way across the country to take care of her. We were able to capture her old phone number so all the friends who didn't know she moved can still call her. And how can you complain about the price. Overall cost for the first year is less than the cable company gets for one month. As long as you have the internet in your house I don't know why you would use any other voice over IP phone.

I purchased the Magic Jack as a less expensive alternative for Cox telephone. It works very well. However, on caller ID only the phone number shows, not the name and the time on the phone is always at central time and cannot be changed

In these days of very expensive landline telephone services [all of wich are VOIP - run over your high speed Internet], many just use their cell. There are some things you need a "Landline" for [like FAX]. It's nice to find a real bargain. I've used MagicJack's for years and they do work very well. The only problem with the original version was that your computer had to be on constantly for thr phone to work. The MagicJack GO sloves this as it can be plugged into the wall, and into your Router. It includes 12 months of service, so the cost is a fraction of even the best VOIP plans.

I bought this not realizing that they could not port my old number in the area I live. However, I understand they might expand into my area so as soon as they do, I will use it! Phone service for $35 per year? Awesome!! If you don't need to use your old number, go for it!
