We live in the country and had to use a third party long distance provider that cost $40 per month. So the land line was $37 plus $40 per month. Now that our DSL internet is unlimited, Magic Jack was such a money saver. The service is great and it was super easy to set up.

I've been using magic jack for years. I think their service is improving every year. It's great to be able to use the app on a smart phone. Sometimes there are some glitches in the system but I'm not sure if it's due to bugs in the app or due to the internet connection.

Bought this to reduce the cost of calling canada and it works; however, I do get some complaints that there is some static on the line. I am using an ISP with 100 mbps down and 15 mbps up. I hear no static, but the person I am calling does.

Works good for me, but does have a few connection problems on occasion. MagicJack customer service is only available through live chat. Certainly saves $$$$$.

we use the magic jack to call family in central america. the international rates are very low or free if there is a magic jack on the other end. plugs into the router so it is always on and we use an extention on the other side of the house to make calls. very easy setup

As the title implies, you get what you pay for. I was able to make outgoing calls using two phones connected to MJ, but could not receive calls. When one phone was disconnected, received calls worked. MJ was plugged into power line and not a computer.

It works as advertised, but the sound quality is not always the best and calls to get dropped, but the price is right and we were able to port forward our home number to it.

I was able to transfer my existing home number with the $10 credit they provided online. Works with my base station and satellite phones. They only issue is I needed to pay to connect to my conference live at work. It's cheap enough but was unexpected.

This product is really helpful and convenient. No need to pay any monthly fees and expensive as a regular. I can also call mh friendsbin Canada for free.

I needed a plain old home phone for my mother and did not want to pay $20 - $30 every month for a basic line. Glad I remembered this 10 yr old product as it certainly meets our requirements at a fraction of the price!

My mom’s old Magic Jack started acting up, dropping calls and humming very loudly during calls. Got this on sale for $29.99 as a replacement. Everything is working perfectly! Thanks for having this on sale Best Buy! You’re the best!! Lol.

Only reason I am keeping it is because it saves money. Voice level is weak, sometimes it doesn't work. Computer interference can be a bit of a pain when browsing online and trying to talk on phone.

I found magic jack the cheapest way to make international calls. I switched from Vonage to Nagic jack because Vonage was very expensive

Love this product not because it’s chea, I love this product because it’s so conveniences at home or if you are traveling to make phone call back to the USA. You may pay for international services but with this you don’t need too

Works as expected, saves $$ on phone bills. My only complaint is that the Magic App for smartphones does not allow a setting to NOT RING your phone when a call comes into the Magic Jack number. That's just sad.

The sound of calls is great but the calls would constantly drop, up to 4 times in 20 minutes. Sometimes the calls would drop in the first minute. We have a very good network and internet connection using FIOS. No problems with other types of VOIP calls. We tried 2 different phones, new cables, new power adapter but without any luck. Magic Jack customer service tried to be helpful but they said that all they could do was add our number to a spreadsheet and their developers would hopefully find a fix for it some day. I wasted money on this product because it can't set it up, have a number ported and fully tested within the time to be able to return the product.

i purchased this to replace older magicjack dongle. this model produces less heat, and seems to maintain connection well. of course, google wifi with autonomous re-connection to ISP helps. audio quality is good.

This saves a lot of money on phone bills especially because I live in Japan but I can talk to my family back in the states as long as I want for just $35 a year.

The new magic jack is so much better than the old ones. I don't have any static or clicking anymore and I can send faxes reliably.

Let's be honest: these days we don't really need a landline at home. But when you want to add extra phone numbers for you're home-based small business, Magic Jack is a great , affordable option.
