The power supply would randomly decide to charge the laptop regardless if I plug it into the wall or other plugs. Tried to contact Geek squad to see if it was covered but obviously just like any other online customer support they take forever to respond.

Versatile machine, but the system limited or prevent me use Google chrome and other daily light memory software. Forcing me to use their own browser and others. The touch screen sometime don't sense my warm fingers .If it wasn't like tablet based machine and light I wouldn't buy it.

A grade...does what I need it to do...that’s enough

I loved my Surface Pro 3 and the 4 is a step backwards. Still can't make outlook work. The scan program won't scan in pdf. I set up the PIN to login but it still won't let me login that way. Annoying stuff after being totally satisfied with my previous unit.

I wish I didn’t get this. I spent too much on a laptop that is more flash than function. Yeah, it’s good and fast and doesn’t give me any problems, but the kickstand means I can’t use this on my lap. Next time I’ll go cheaper.

I use this for all sorts of things whether it is for work or play. It seems to work for me. Although there are times that it seems a little slow using EDGE as a browser.

You can buy a much better laptop for a fraction of the price. Also with a case on its larger than most 13" laptops. Not worth the money.

Tablet mode allows you to separate the magnetically-attached keyboard and hold the Surface, just as you would an Amazon Kindle, an Apple iPad, or even an actual book. This is especially helpful for long study sessions where I’d like to lay back on the couch, rather than have the inconvenience of keeping a laptop in my lap. The Surface also has a built-in kickstand to hold itself up, so I don’t have to purchase an aftermarket item to accomplish this feat. The convenience factor that the Surface introduces to the laptop and tablet market is truly remarkable. Along with the Surface’s mobility and convenience, its functionality is another strong feature. The Surface matches the processing power of competitors’ laptops and it does this within the confines of a tablet. It runs Microsoft Windows 10 and a plethora of other applications, which can assist college students in various ways. For example, the Microsoft Store offers free applications that include daily planners/calendars, calculators, .PDF conversion software, and countless other applications that students will find useful. It also comes with one USB port, which most major competitors (Apple iPad, Amazon Kindle to name a couple) do not offer. This allows for quick and easy data transfers from the tablet to other computers. Its ability to perform multiple tasks at once, both on-screen and off, allows the Surface to lead the way for other multi-function machines of its caliber. To assist with the Surface’s functionality, it also has unique accessories that can boost its appeal to college students. When utilized with other applications, these accessories allow the tablet to become more versatile. For example, if you were to purchase a Surface stylus, the Microsoft store offers applications that allow you to use the tablet screen as a “paper” to take notes on. This can eliminate costs for buying binders, notebooks, and paper. The Surface screen calculates the pressure of your writing and will make strokes according to the pressure being applied. This eliminates the need for pens, pencils, markers and even highlighters from a student’s budget! While accessories will add more to the Surface’s overall price tag, they also eliminate the need for other school-related purchases and condense the contents needed for day-to-day school work. The red-flag that may send a college student looking for another option is the Surface’s price. There is a large selection of laptops and tablets on the market that are much easier on the pockets. Many of these options will perform the needed tasks and functions that a student is searching for. There are many convenient benefits that the Surface offers, but these are not necessarily a “need” for a student. It is nice that the keyboard can detach from the tablet, but this provides little more than comfort. Its USB port is very handy, but a student can bypass the need for one by utilizing e-mail, or a third-party cloud share. Although a student could meet their needs with a cheaper machine, I believe that the Surface allows for the biggest bang for a student’s buck. The Surface is a fantastic piece of machinery that any college student could pick up and benefit from immediately. The Surface’s convenience, mobility, functionality, and accessory selection is matched by none. The money and time that it will save you alone is worth the purchase. This product has a five-star rating from me, in terms of its usefulness to today’s college student. I would strongly recommend this product for any one looking for either a laptop or a tablet.

I have loved my surface pro. Now all of a sudden it won’t turn on. Help

I would have given it 5 stars but it’s charger sucks. It does work one day but not the next. You will have something necessary to do but the charger won’t charge your lap top and you have to look for other sources.
