Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the Surface Pro's portability, light weight, and battery life. Many appreciate its performance and the fact that it functions well as a tablet. However, some customers find the price to be high and wish it had more USB ports. The lack of an included pen is also a point of concern for some buyers.

Glitchy and overpriced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought surface pro because its supposed to be this cool new thing, and my company suggested it. I would say save your money and buy a laptop. Its supper glitch, it will randomly click on something or change pages on you. it will jump you back to the beginning of a document randomly. The battery life is maybe half of what it claimed it would be and I never know if the thing will turn on. It also randomly shuts off on me. I've only had the thing two or three weeks and it done these thing the whole time

Expensive but well refined
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 5 iterations the Surface Pro is now a stellar device. Great screen, great pen now with useful software integration, super portable and finally all day real world battery life. The criticism that it's overpriced is fair, but on the other hand there is no question that the quality of this device is significantly higher than it's competition. For me at least, that was a worthy tradeoff.

It's great but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally upgraded from Android tablets to a Surface Pro. I've purchased 3 Android tablets in the past 4 years, the latest being a Galaxy Tab, and I've not really been entirely satisfied with them. Not enough storage space, and adding a SD card is worthless, since you can't edit files on it. They are good for games and streaming, but I want to do more serious stuff. My main purpose for a tablet is to handle a large collection of photographs. I like to show some of my pictures to guests and be able to edit them as well. My images are on a server in my home, and the Droid tablets loaded them painfully slow. The Surface tablet loads large images as fast as my desktop PC. I can also install the same software on the surface, it's nearly as powerful as my desktop machine. I got the keyboard/cover for it and it is way cooler than I had thought it would be. That magnetic attachment system really works great, as does the magnetic power connection. I ordered the Surface pen as well, but it has not arrived yet. The face recognition feature works like a charm, as long as I have my glasses on, and the tablet logs me in in a instant. I've had a couple of small issues with the Surface though. The WiFi adapter crashed a couple of times. The Wizard that runs when this happens says there is a problem with the adapter, but it don't tell you what the problem is and it can't fix it. A reboot fixes the issue. It supposedly has the most recent driver already. Hope they come up with a better one in the future. Another problem is my Bluetooth mouse fails to reconnect when the Surface wakes up from sleep. The computer thinks the mouse is connected, but it don't work. I found that turning Bluetooth off and back on again restores the connection. Selecting text without a mouse is much harder on the Surface compared to my Droid tablets. My only other nags are the typical Windows 10 things, like changing my default programs to Microsoft's apps. This is my fourth Windows 10 computer and they all do these annoying little things. I've got a list of things that bother me about Win 10, but in the end, I still like it better than previous versions. I'm thrilled with my new Surface Pro, Android tablets are toys compared to this thing.

Best Laptop/Tablet I've ever bought
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Laptop/Tablet is one of my best buys yet. My Sony WAIO gave up on me after years of excellent work. I was in the market for a new laptop where I could run software such as SolidWorks, Photoshop, AutoCAD and good ol’ MS Office. I kept hearing Surface Pro 4 was a great laptop/tablet combo. This thing just took over and it my one and only computer. With 8GB in RAM this laptop will run any of my programs as easy as Paint. The 256GB in storage is good enough for me but I also got a sweet Micro SD in case I need more. The fact that you can run apps just as if it was a tablet makes this a great entertainment tool. Presentations on PowerPoint using a Wireless Display is just amazing. I gifted my tablet to my mom since I no longer have use for it. Pros: Miracast technology: Easy to connect to Wireless Display Adapters/Chromecast Bluetooth: Connect as many devices as you want. Powerful intel i5 Screen is a beauty, perfect for streaming Media. Great line of accessories such as Surface Keyboard, Pen/Stylus, Docking Station Price is great for what you get. Cons: I have yet to find any

OK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The functionality is ok. I’ll start by saying I am a Mac user, through and through, I had to purchase a windows operating system for engineering school, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Ease of use is fine, typical Microsoft interface. I didn’t really like the tablet-to-laptop function, it wasn’t as fluid as it should have been. The optional keyboard only lasted a year before it went out. Overall OK.

Great device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great device and really light and convenient. The good news is this is really a great buy. The bad news. Right out of the box it appeared as though the device didn't have an integrated (internal) microphone as after the complete set up I could not participate in a video teleconference because no one could hear me. The Best Buy tech folks also said it didn't have mic. I almost gave up and was resigned to accepting the short coming but thought I'd call Microsoft to see what they would say. Sure enough, it took a number of configuration tweaks and Windows re-installation and sure enough -- the integrated microphone (the one Best Buy said didn't exist) came to life and everything works great!! So -- out of the box the mic didn't work and it took Microsoft to fix it. Now, all's well that ends well and I love the device.

That good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best laptops I could have ever purchased. After 5 years of usage, the laptop still holds up to this day. I have used my laptop for school, mail, movies, YouTube, gaming, and conference calls, and have yet to have a serious issue with the laptop.

Premium Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.* Build quality is amazing (Aluminum Body) - much better than the Spectre X360 * Keyboard is the nicest laptop keyboard I have tried - also better than the Spectre X360 and much better than the Macbook Pro * Can actually turn into a tablet unlike the Spectre X360 where you can only spin it around and then the keyboard is on the bottom and feels incredibly annoying * Surface pen has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and has no lag (22 ms) - also much better than X360's pen
