very poor battery life

Not even a few weeks in i started noticing how many times I have to charge my laptop on a 5 ish hour school day. It is ridiculous to be getting 1 hour or an hour and a half on a full charge only doing light web browsing and online homework at 40% brightness and in power savings mode. I have switched to Microsoft edge to the same result. I called Microsoft and they are making it right for me by sending me a replacement since mine is still under warranty but word of advice. 15 days is all you have to return this item to best buy for your money. Otherwise you have to take it up with Microsoft which I can happily say helped me. I have yet to receive my new surface in the mail and I am crossing my fingers hoping to get a quality product this time.

Love my basic Surface Pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was concerned about getting the base model Surface Pro with the M3 instead of the I5and only 4GB of ram vs. 8GB. Been using it for a week heavily (in case it's not powerful enough, I can still return and upgrade) and I love it. For normal spreadsheets, surfing the web, and even Netflix, it's been great. If I did video editing or was a big gamer, I would have gotten more power. Since I don't, I don't need it. Love the hardware and what a deal!
