A: It does have 1 USB 3.0 port that you can use a flash drive or external hard drive with.
Q: Is it worth it to buy the pencil? What is it used for outside of graphics?
A: You can use the pencil for any handwriting purpose on a Surface. The surface allows you to write with your fingers; but using the pencil is more precise.
