Customers are saying

Customers love the Black Platinum Line 35' 4K Ultra HD In-Wall HDMI Cable's picture quality and long length, finding it solves connection problems and is easy to install. While some find the cable expensive, many feel the high price is justified by its performance and reliability. Positive feedback also highlights the cable's ease of use and excellent performance in various applications. However, users should be aware that the cable is directional.

    Best Cable

This is the high end cable that is quality. Just make sure you really need the features. You could get a mid level RocketFish or Dynex this still is great for much less.

    Unidirectional gem, honest salesman.

Originally purchased a 25' monoprice cable to run to my projector in order to save some money. Well, that was a bad idea. I had constant a/v drop outs with the cable to the point that I ripped it out of my wall and returned it to monoprice. I then went to best buy and spoke with a magnolia design center system designer. He recommended this cable because of its unidirectional amplification (he could have sold me an even more expensive cable because I was not about to run a third cable though my wall. However he didn't because he was an honest salesman). After hooking the cable up I haven't had any a/v dropouts, and have since replaced all of the cables from my components with black platinum cables. I don't care what sites like CNET say about monster and audio quest cables I have personally noticed a difference in my image quality since upgrading. By the way because of the recommendation and time the mdc rep spent with me to understand my problem, I will be returning to his best buy for all my electronics purchases. Honesty and knowledge rules for me.

I owned one of monsters top of line HDMI cables that came out a 3-4 years ago and i was happy with the image...the cable was putting out 17gbps. then i upgraded to this cable which puts out almost 27gbps. Its connected to my projector and i noticed a difference in picture quality and the colors were brighter. great product!!!

    Caution when installing

I bought the 35' cable to run inside the wall from my HD projector to my components. This was installed prior to the drywall being installed. A month later when I was hooking my equipment up nothing worked! No signal to the projector. So I hooked up the cable to a small TV from the cable box and still NO signal. Then I noticed a yellow piece of tape on the end at the cable box, it said "TV". What the heck. I went back to Best Buy and read the HDMI package that I bought and it said nothing about being one directional. So I told the Best Buy techs about my problem and they had never heard of a one directional HDMI Cable. They even searched the internet to see if there was anything about this cable being one directional and they found nothing. They were very helpful and apologized for what happened. Sorry I can't comment on the performance of this cable as it's ran through my ceiling and across my wall tied to other cables & wires. The only option is to CUT OUT the new drywall along where the HDMI cable was ran, turn it around and patch the drywall & paint again!!! FUN right. Thanks Monster!! How about adding to the outside front of your package "Caution Cable only works in One Direction"

    No 444 chroma

So, I hate writing negative reviews, but feel obligated to because of the price of this. For most applications this will be a great cable. If you are using this to run from a high end video card to a uhd tv (970sli to samsung uhd tv) and are trying to get 444 chroma 4k@60hz you will get a black screen, 420 color works fine. I also think because it is a directional cable creates issues. I then switched to the 24 ft rocketfish cable and had no issues, 444 chroma 4k@60hz, glorious

Don't let sales guys tell you this provides a clearer or better signal. It's digital; You either get the signal or you don't. You don't get a better stream of bits, you don't get a clearer stream of bits, you don't get a louder stream of bits. They're binary, you either get them or you don't. I've worked with people who have used these before. They don't last any longer, they don't stand up to abuse better. Save yourself a ton of money and get a cheap cable.

The cable itself is good quality. However, I am sure there are WAY cheaper ones that are the same overall quality. Didn't have time to shop around so I just purchased it for convenience factor

Decided to dish out a lot of money on these cables after returning cheaper cables to Amazon several times over the last week.... These cables didn't work either. I am connecting a PlayStation 4 Pro to a brand new 65 inch oled lg... The monster cables caused a flickering that wouldn't go away.... These are also being returned.
