Bought this to replace my old surfboard 2.0 due to the letter I received from Comcast saying my modem can't handle the new speed upgrades which is bull crp now I have to spend 150 more dollars to go over 100mbps it works like it should I guess

Ease of installation and is compatible with spectrum. I was having trouble before with spectrums own equipment that I was renting and when I upgraded to this it made a world of a difference!

Good product works for Xfinity at 300 gbps, make sure you have a good strong router to pair with it.

My old modem that I had owned for about five years was giving me difficulties with my internet service provider. Cost to rent versus cost to buy is in favor of purchase after only a little over a year. Easy to install.

I got a much better deal elsewhere and ended up returning one I prematurely ordered. Product-wise, it works great and even improved upon my SNRs and correctable/uncorrectable errors with no cable run changes compared to my 8-channel Zoom, and I can now go gigabit with Comcast. Also, for Zoom brand loyal fans, this is actually a Zoom cable modem just rebadged with Motorola's permission. Zoom stands behind their products and provides great support when needed.

Works well with local cable internet service through Spectrum. Fast speed supports my Netgear Orbi router. Set-up was as easy as could be, despite having to call Spectrum to activate the modem.

Great cable modem, works great with my WOW! internet service, their modem was terrible and this was a huge improvement with reliability for me

Recently had got gigabit cable and needed a new modem. Everyone complained about the intel chipset so I went with this modem as it uses Broadcom. It is lightning fast and I have had zero issues.

This was a second/final item purchased to replace my vendor's rental modem/router. My reception is so much better and the upload/download speeds are great for my busy, active large home.

This unit replaced a prior Motorola; upgrade was necessary to insure compatibility with new contract with Comcast for increased data speed. Prior unit worked flawlessly; have no reason to suspect this one will be any different. At "off"-hours, I am seeing data download speeds in excess of 300 mB/sec, which is wonderful for buffer-free streaming of shows and videos from the various streaming service we are subscribed to..in addition to a direct link (via Ethernet cable) to our Apple TV, this unit also feeds our wi-fi router for our home network.

Great Modem!! Just updated my internet to 1GB speeds. My internet would drop connection sometimes and I thought it was the modem but it was my cable company. Easy to use and setup.

Now able to get the most of my comcast internet offering. Coupled with new wireless router everything is working great and very fast.

This was purchased to replace a 4-year old modem from a well-known manufacturer that had begun to spontaneously drop connection to our ISP and, following reboot, take an extended amount of time to reconnect. After reading all the reviews, I decided to go with Motorola. Absolutely no disappointments. Speedtest shows I'm getting the same amount of speed as before (which is faster than the advertised connection speed) while handling all of the internet connections. Best of all, one month after purchase, I haven't even had to think about it.

I had recently upgraded to 1GB download speed from my ISP. My previous modem could not handle it but this one combined with a nighthawk router works perfectly and I’m now seeing the full speeds.

I've had no problems with it. It does as it should. I don't give anything an excellent rating these days.

It was quite easy to set up and get it running with optimum gigabyte service. Very easy to follow instructions to do it completely on my own and save $15 per month in modem charges. Note that the wifi router is a separate purchase and I use tenda GB wireless router to get GB download speed. Optimum supplied free wifi routers can go up to 400 mb and most older computers and cell phones don't go over that on WiFi.

Great modem to use with Spectrum cable. Modem does not run hot.

Works great. It took a little extra effort to install and connect everything in our new house, but now we can avoid the expense of renting a modem from Comcast. Definitely recommend.

This modem is a workhorse. It is worth getting if you have high speed internet and a lot of things running on WiFi. Great product, not so great of a price but you get what you pay for.

Upgraded my modem to DOCSIS 3.1 to support up to 1Gbps Down Comcast/Xfinity connection. Modem got an IP pretty quickly during setup and used xfinity.com/activate to get it activated.
