Great high speed modem

Motorola MB8600 Cable Modem

Connect the Comcast cable, Turn off router. Connect ethernet patch cord to modem and router. Plug in cable modem. Turn router back on. Turn Motorola modem on. The power light at the top should light up green. After 10 or so minutes the down and up arrow lights should be blue and may blink, and the internet light should be steady blue. The bottom ethernet light is green on my set-up. I had to follow the instructions for activating Xfinity internet, and I called the local Comcast office to complete the accounting details. It just works. The Wi-Fi and wired connected devices on my router don't even know anything happened.
