The Motorola modem worked flawlessly for 30 days. On the 31st day (1 day after the return period expired) the modem started dropping the connection from Comcast. Now it won't connect at all. No service outages in our area & of course since it is not their modem Comcast cannot troubleshoot it. I'm going to try to get a warranty replacement. Since there are good reviews on this unit, quality control seems to be the problem. This was not a chance I should have taken since I am working from home...tethering to my cell data connection for now. Take your shot...but if you buy this, better hold on to your old modem for a few weeks.

Connected this new one to the coax, connected it to my router via ethernet cable. I called my provider and told them that I purchased a new modem. They asked for the numbers located on the bottom of the modem (also located on the box) and bam. I was up and running. It did take a few tries to get into the modem interface but it eventually let me in and i changed the password. It has been up and running for about 3 weeks without issues. Speeds and signal are good. Totally worth it.
