Have had issues with surfboards in the past. Motorola originally made the surfboard, but it was sold off. Now that Motorola is back to making cable modems, I recommend over surfboard

I selected this modem because it was on the Xfinity recommended list. I connected it as soon as I had Xfinity service at the house. It booted flawlessly and connected to Xfinity service. I had to cycle power on the modem to get my TP Link Deco M5 mesh extender to work correctly - I suspect I should not have connect the mesh extender before internet connection was established. Four months of flawless service.

Runs very cool....which is a nice bonus. Xfinity person took care of activation quick and painlessly. Links fast with my incoming cable, very fast, very consistent. I have GbE service from Xfinity, and I consistently get ~950 MB on Speedtest. No downside here...get rid of the cable companies modem, this pays for itself in less than a year....and probably performs better, to boot. Very easy to recommend.

I already thought this modem was going to be amazing- but it surpassed my expectations. It’s extremely fast and easy to log in. I can’t find any fault with it.

It was all plug & play. A Cox tech was on-site during installation, but all he did was plugging in the modem and power cycle it a few times.

Reasonably easy to set up. Fast service with room for increased speeds in the future.

This has been a solid modem. It handles a Cox 500 plan without any problem. I am pleased with this modem and glad it was on the "approved" list from Cox. It saved me the $600 they wanted me to spend for their new mesh devices which I absolutely do not need.

Fast modem and easily paired with a router. Work from home has never been better!

Excellent modem! Finally getting consistent speeds and connectivity. Build quality is great and is designed to dissipate heat better than other modems, so no overheating!

I have Suddenlink as an internet provider. This modem is a nightmare at least when using it with Suddenlink. It constantly was losing internet connection multiple times a day even though the lights said it was connected. Suddenlink tried multiple refreshes but nothing would fix it. I finally just purchased a Motorola MB7621 which is a step backwards but has a different chipset. This has been working just fine. Pay attention to the reviews before purchasing this model. You could possibly end up with a lot of frustration. Mine is basically just sitting here as a waste of money because I can no longer return it. I am hoping a firmware update may make it useable one day again.

This is waaaay faster than our previous cable modem. Easy to install. No reliability issues at all in the first month. I would absolutely get this again.

I bought this one to replace the old modem. It performs well and never experience any issue with download/upload speed.

I needed a new modem that was fast and met the requirements of my cable Internet provider. This modem was easy to set up. It's fast. Stylish and compact. I highly recommend it if you looking to improve Wi-Fi speeds in your home. We have reduced bufferings on the multiple devices we have connected to our Wi-Fi due to this new modem.

This is the first time I purchased a Motorola Modem and I love it! It works really well and provides additional security for my internet connection.
