Compatible with xFinity
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much to say other than this seemed like the best option out of those available that are listed as compatible when subscribing to xFinity data service (buy your own modem). The obvious benefits here are that it is a 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 and is compatible with reaching the 1000 Mbps package. No complaints so far and setup was easy.

Great Modem
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this modem. It was easy to install and to activate. I had it up and running within an hour. The only reason it took that long is that my cable provider requires use of your phone or another device connected to the internet for activation and I live in a dead zone for my cell phone so I had to find a spot where I could get enough signal to complete the activation. It is very fast and has more than enough speed and bandwidth for my needs. I am not a gamer or heavy streaming user so my needs are relatively low compared to today's users. I do use zoom and other streaming platforms but not heavily.

fantastic modem.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I get faster and more consistent speeds with this Motorola than I did with any Spectrum (charter) provided modem. I also like being able to see the raw technical data and the ability to reboot the modem without having to unplug it. I've been using this modem for over two years and not had a single problem with it. (which is more than I can say for the multiple ISP provided modems before I bought this one) The URL for the management interface is 192.168.100.1 You cannot paste into the password field, so set your password to something relatively easy to type. lol

Great modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup to Comcast with supplied documentation. After couple of hours usage the modem is barely warm. Front status indicators were not overly bright, yet provided a lot of info such as are you online with DOCSIS 3.0 or DOCSIS 3.1. Recommended!

Easy Setup, great speeds!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to use with my gigabyte plan through my service provider. I was renting their modem/router combo, and not getting very good speeds unless I was very close to it. I picked this Motorola up to pair with my Eero Pro system that I got, and it's been great! Setup was quick and easy. The speeds have been great. I've had it for a couple of months now, and have had no issues with signal loss, shut downs, etc. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this modem a look if you are in need of a high speed, docsis 3.1 modem.

so far so good...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.6 weeks in and it's working great. I replaced an older DOCSIS 2.0 modem from Arris that my cable provider told me was no longer supported. I upgraded to this model after reading several favorable reviews across the web. Max download speeds from my 200 Mbps plan previously topped out at ~160M with the old modem, and I immediately saw the full 200 Mbps after installing this one. Soon after I upgraded my plan to 1 Gbps, and I typically see 750+ Mbps on the download side (40-60 Mbps upload). I like the fact this modem has an on-off button as well... a feature missing on many models. No detectable heat from this unit either. Overall it does what it says and I'm happy with the purchase.

Great modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used to replace my old Motorola modem that could not handle the new upgraded speed. Having an old Motorola which never gave me issues for several years I decided to go with brand. I do not regret it, setup was simple (Xfinity) and I have had no issues so far, reliable and performant. The modem is inside a multimedia closet so I was also looking for something that won't run hot. This modem delivers, not even warm to the touch. If there is any cons that I could mention about this modem is the price, but others were around the same. Is more than I was looking to pay at the time but decided to go with a modem that will support more speed upgrades down the road, expecting it to last.

Great upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the letter from Comcast that my SB6120 modem is no longer supported and does not meet the speed I am paying for. Went and looked at account and speed was increased at last renewal, but monthly price was still the same. I figured it was also time to replace my wifi-router since I have had both for years. I prefer to keep my modem and wifi-router separate since the technology generally updates/upgrades at different speed/times. Connected this up, and it immediately went online with no problems or phone calls needed. On the wifi-router, I changed the SSID and password of my wifi-router to the previous SSID and password and did not have to update all of my devices. Went from 90 Mbps to 178 Mbps with the hardware changes. Just be aware, this modem does only have ONE LAN port. Not a big deal since I use a separate router. There are more LAN ports under a sticker, but this is for port bonding, which is beyond my needs or capabilities. Future proof with 1 Gbps speed potential and DOCSIS 3.1. Fast, works well, and stays cool. No issues.

perfect modem for us!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modem works great. Easy to install. We had to upgrade to one that works with our upgraded network speed. The increase in speed was very noticeable. Have had no problems with Motorola brand.

Works as expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup with Mediacom. Gets the job done. Enjoying Internet speeds over the 200Mbps I'm payng for. Actual model is a bit taller and yet lighter than anticipated, but works well.

Great modem with future-proofing built-in!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great cable modem with easy setup and fast speed. I get up to a gigabit to my router. It has 3 extra hidden Ethernet ports for future bonding for up to 10 gigs of speed. I figure it will pay for itself in just over a year with the $10.99 rental fee I'm not paying. If you're upgrading to 3.1 and have a phone plan, you don't need to spend the extra $60+ for one with telephony built in. You can use the existing unit for telephony and the Motorola for internet, just get a bidirectional splitter for $15 and you're good.

Easy set up
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comcast customer. I prefer to own my own modem. ( modem and router) But recently Comcast set up it’s 1 T limit. So you must consider that. If you go over the limit Comcast bills you for it. $10 for every 50g or $50 for monthly unlimited. Comcast on 1 g plans. Will only charge $10 for unlimited if you rent their new xFi modem router combo at $15 month. So if you want unlimited and your own modem you have to bay Comcast $25 more a month. I hate giving Comcast more money. But I hate Comcast having full control over my equipment worst. So for the 1g plan recommend this modem. Very easy set up and so far fast smooth speeds.

Good performance
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I will be saving $14 a month from my internet bill which is the fee cable companies charge for renting out their modem. So far performance and reliability has been awesome, we are a heavy internet usage family and this modem has not let me down, excellent download and upload speed. For some people it might be an inconvenience not to have a build in router but I owned one previous to this purchase so it was not problem for me Beside the fact that I prefer having stand alone units and no combos. Only regret is that the GUI do not offer much room to play with settings on the unit itself

Reliable
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a web developer I obviously know nothing about IT equipment like this router. What I care about most is reliability, I never want to spend any brain cells thinking about this thing, I want it to sit on the shelf and just work. And it does that perfectly, I’ve never had to reset this thing or mess with it like I did with the Arris Surfboard modem I had before this. Never been more happy to ignore this modem.
