Works During Warranty

Two months after, it can't hold a connection for more than 15 minutes. A call to tech support only yields hold music for 20+ minutes.

No more rental fees

Plugged it in and did self activate through a browser. Took roughly 5 mins for it to activate and at the end it said activation failed. I walked away and came back to a different page saying it succeeded. Didn't have to call Mediacom! Huzzah! Should have this paid for in 12 months and hopefully last for a long while

Those modems are highly rumored to get recycled and refurbished many times. As much as they charge, this purchase has paid for itself quickly. The modem never slows down and can handle multiple devices at the same time, streaming, downloading, video chatting and general internet surfing. I’ve also not seen a delay when gaming either. This modem is awesome and reliable.
