Future-proof your Internet connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Motorola MB8600 is currently one of the top rated cable modems, so even finding one took some work. It was a breeze to follow the Quick Start instructions and install the hardware. Then after a call to Comcast support it was registered and the Internet connection working. The connection has been stable, without a single disconnect yet. The modem is rated for speeds just below 1 Gbps without Ethernet port bonding. This is quite a bit higher than my current 150 Mbps service, so I expect to keep it for a long time.

Good Modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this product for 1 month right now. I was consistently getting the speed that I paid for from my ISP using this modem. I did have 1 drop out event which the unit was not able to recover on itself. I believe the ISP service was interrupted due to power outage and post the outage the modem didn't recover gracefully. I had to completely reset the modem and get new IP issued in order to get back onto the network. But overall very satisfied with this purchase so far.

A Stable Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this for more than three weeks. It’s very stable and very convenient. I know that this is not the most powerful modem, but When I chose this I was aware that I’m going to be fine with it for at least the next 3-5 years. The speed maximum threshold on this is 1 Gb and my internet speed used to be 800 and after recent research I downgraded the speed to 400. My wife and I work from home most of the days and it’s working now much better as used to be with Xfinity’s modem (X-Fi). I also added a mesh router to this modem which I think made a huge difference in making that system much more efficient with even lower speed. I’m now getting more than 400-450 consistent speed in most areas of my house. I really recommend to anyone who uses internet speed 1gb or less.

Cool and Quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced a net-gear modem. The net-gear was constantly dropping signal and overheating. This runs smooth

Stability 101
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Towers over the competition. After having many issues with the “other guys”, this modem’s setup was quick and painless. It is very stable at speeds between 300-500Mbps. Also, it has not dropped signal once or had to reboot since setup over 30 days ago. What a pleasure!

Set it and forget it, good quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set it and forget it, good quality and no electric noise or excess ambient heat issues like the other brands options bring. I had the N e t g e a r variant, this is better. If you get it on sale, it's a steal.

Great modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This modem is excellent. I used this with my Nest wifi router (two points) mesh network. My modem and router and linked together with Cat 7 ethernet cable. I pay for 1 gbps of wifi speed but was only receiving 300 + mbps with my Netgear Night Hawk 24x8. After purchasing this modem, I am now receiving 800 + mbps. This modem is the best and was less expensive than my Night Hawk.

Very fast modem
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to upgrade to this modem as it was highly recommended by a "tech" friend. He's in the computer business and builds systems, installs them and repairs them. I have Cox Ultimate service (300Mbps/30Mbps) and this modem really performs well. I am getting exactly what Cox indicated what I should be getting. So far the modem has been flawless and I highly recommend it.

Easy to set up. Excellent connectivity and signal.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is very easy to set up. Our WiFi signal is very strong throughout more of the house than our old router and we are now getting the full Internet speed from our Cable Internet provider (350 mbps). The phone app is also a great addition and very useful. We would definitely recommend this WiFi router.

Great Modem for 1 GIG speed or better.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The modem is very easy to connect to your ISP, all you need to do is provide them with the MAC number and they will have you up and running in a half hour or less. In my case I was measuring speeds of well over 700MBs from a one GIG connection. How ever you will need a separate router to use this modem if you want to connect via WIFI.

Works Great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I have Xfinity as my internet provider and I didn’t want to pay their never ending monthly fees for a modem. Took this out of the box, made a few connections, and I was on the internet. No problems whatsoever! I use the Orbi system for my WiFi. No compatibility issues and my internet download and upload speeds are great!

Excellent Modem!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When Comcast robocalled me telling me that my previous modem was outdated and not capable of providing me with the speed I'm currently paying for, I had my doubts. However, I figured that it wouldn't hurt to give a new modem a try and see what happens. Much to my surprise, my already great speed got even better. I also like the fact that this modem is fully prepared for future speed increases, and I take comfort from the fact that Motorola was a part of developing and establishing DOCSIS 3.1 from the very beginning (i.e., they know what it takes to make a fully compliant device).

Only option
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this with ASUS - ROG Rapture AX11000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router, and Comcast Gig internet. Wired reaching speeds up to 940-970Mbps/. Would recommend this only if you are planning to get Gigabit Internet or higher. Does not over heat, and is larger than the normal modem size, so have space and measure before purchasing.

Worked great in my rentals, bought one for my home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading reviews online and figuring out which modems would work with my Wide Open West service, I decided to use this modem in two rental units, each paired with a Netgear Nighthawk R6700 (v2) router. After 2 months of success in one location, I installed the second pair. The second time took longer to get running, but it worked. Finally, I installed a 3rd pair in my home. The third time was the only installation where I had to contact WOW to activate the modem. Once activated, just as with the first 2 locations, everything was running smoothly, averaging about 110 Mbps down and 11 Mbps up (we are on a 100 Mb plan). I have now quadrupled my original download speed. So far, so good.
