Does NOT work with Sparklight (Mississippi)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the time of this writing, 1/12/2021, this does NOT work with Sparklight. I got 3 before I got someone from Sparklight that contacted a supervisor that found an internal email that stated their latest firmware update caused this modem to not be compatible. So please call Sparklight, if you live in south Mississippi, before you purchase!

Poor performance. Drops internet Dailey.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my xfinity rental modem. The first few days it worked well. After the first few day it started to drop the internet for about 30 seconds at least once a day and sometimes as many as three times a day. It wasn’t a big deal for streaming but when your on a work call going through a vpn it would became a huge headache because the call would drop and it would take several minutes to get logged back in. I would not recommend this modem at all.

Works just fine!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a dead cable modem during the 'rona'. Setup takes a little bit with your internet provider, so be prepared for that. It works on Cox just fine as to most DOCSIS3.1 modems.

Eliminate rent on cable company modem.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are very happy with this Modem. It replaced a cable company Modem. We cut cable but stuck with the company for Internet but did not want to continue renting their Modem and I thought we could get better reception this way, and I was correct.

This is a must have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you currently have above a 500Mbps then this is the modem for you. If you have gig it is the only way to go. I was blown away at the performance difference from cable company. And you save that darn fee so it pays for its self after almost a year.

Motorola MB8600 GREAT but could be better

Great modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this modem to use with Spectrum 400 MBPS internet. Had a bit of a struggle with the set up, but was resolved by contacting Spectrum and waiting for the system to load. Works great with the Eeros Pro 6 wifi router.

Keeps shutting down and back on
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for the purpose of not having to pay my internet provider fee to use their modem. It kept shutting off and coming back on for about two weeks in a row. I called the company to come look at the internet because it was very bad and they suggested it was the modem. I tried to return it but Best Buy has a 15 day return policy and I was late. Now, I’m stuck with it.

Xfinity setup struggles!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit looks very much like the Motorola unit that I was replacing, specifically because Xfinity said I'd get a nice speed boost going to a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. The packaging was simple to open. The physical setup was fairly easy, just an ethernet cable, power brick and the coax in and out. The software setup on the other hand, Xfinity was on the phone for 45 minutes, trying multiple resets, and fighting it tooth and nail. Right as the rep told me to return it, the connection finally came up. Not the best experience. And of course, there's no noticeable or measurable speed increase over the old modem. Hopefully the extra channels will help with the added traffic, but I'm not convinced it was worth the money.

Great xFinity Modem Alternative
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cable modem is far exceeding my expectations. You do need to buy a separate router to have wireless internet but it's well worth the extra expense. I'm actually getting more bandwidth than what I actually pay for.
