Got a bum modem

Had horrible issue with speed and connectivity. Had to reboot at least 1x per day. Ended up returning for the Arris docsis 3.1 modem and had none of these issues. Could just be a defective modem, but wasn't taking a chance on a repeat with the same brand.

Stopped working after 3 months

Motorola replaced the modem with a new one of the same model but it took about 3 weeks. I had to open a claim with Motorola warranty and ship them the modem at my expense. After a verification process, they shipped me a new modem. But it's not easy going without internet for 3 weeks while the warranty process is sorted out and you get a new modem.

The Defective Product Policy Sucks!

It worked fine for three and a half months and then abruptly started dropping the connection to my router repeatedly, then it died altogether. Xfinity and Motorola confirmed that my modem was at fault. Right? So that 2 year warranty advertised on the box for the modem? Motorola honored it but also made me pay an extra $35 to receive a replacement modem and took their sweet time sending it out. It took about a week and a half for the new modem to arrive. Then I had to spend $18 to ship the defective modem back and also incur a $15 bank processing fee from Motorola, all because THEIR PRODUCT STOPPED WORKING WITHIN THREE MONTHS. Customer support was great to deal with but this warranty policy sucks. Motorola should not pass these expenses to the customer and make them pay even more for their modem when the product was defective. I will most likely not be purchasing another Motorola product.
