Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the MG8702 32x8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem + AC3200 Router's ease of use, performance, and setup. Many appreciate its wide coverage and range, enabling strong Wi-Fi throughout their homes. However, some customers found the price to be high and experienced occasional connectivity or signal strength issues. The size of the unit was also a point of concern for a few users.

Good quality but still working with comcast to get the signal strength up to what should be expected from my router capability. Probably not the routers issue and more on their side.

Replaced my Comcast modem with this Motorola. Excellent speed two separate bands 2.4 and 5. Good coverage area for 1500 sq foot home.

Great modem/router. easy to install and setup. If you want to save money (doesn't everyone) then purchase this modem and send your internet companies back, save that monthly fee.

Works as stated. Went ahead and doubled up from 300 Mb/S to 600 Mb/s. Call of Duty doesn't even feel like it's connected to the internet anymore - so smooth

Solid feel. Lights aren’t too bright on the front (a definite plus!). Only four stars as it was confusing to setup and set my preferences. Noting there are a lot of extra features. Recommend using the app for setup as changes via a browser didn’t sync properly. Doesn’t feel as fast as my last router (which was 4 years old) but that could be my VPN service causing the issue. There is a lag/delay connecting my devices. (Maybe it’s the security features?)

The motorola combo unit works well, but the signal is not as strong as a stand alone unit with antennas.

Set up was a little difficult matching to Comcast, but that was them, not Motorola. Definite improvement in WiFi strength and computer speed.

When we purchased this router, we did a decent amount of research beforehand. After a year, we haven't had any problems.

    Great Modem/Router, Difficult Install

Seems to be working great now that it is installed. Getting it installed was difficult as the "self install" process failed. We had to call Xfinity and they could not recognize the MAC id number, insisting that the number I gave them was wrong. After an hour and 2 levels of escalation they were able to figure out how to get the Mac ID recognized in their system. Don't know if this was Xfinity's problem or Motorola's, but between them there is a major disconnect.
