Bought because I did not want to pay monthly fees so far so good with the modem but not with my Internet provider

My old internet was driving me crazy and now with this unit everything is working find. A must for condos

Very difficult to set up. No Manual -- Go to a website and download the manual then print it yourself. OR --- Use the so-called smart phone App that is useless. Had to have a friend set it up to work correctly on 2 networks -- 2.4 + 5g. I have been on hold now with another issue for the last TWENTY-FIVE (25) minutes for so-called Tech Support. This item may be returned.

No interruptions when watching downloaded movies. Finally not watching long period of a circling motion when waiting for an app to come on.

The MiniM software that comes with the modem/router is very user friendly. It can keep track of all of your WiFi devices on your network.

My Cox wifi would not reach my backyard. I bought this and now I can keep connected whereever I go in my house and in the yard!

Overall this has been a good purchase. I had my other Motorola for over 6 yrs hope this one last longer.

I could not physically sense the increase in speed of upload time but my bobcat started witnessing like crazy. Yeah, i like it.

It's working great so far. It's set up to be able to handle the next set of higher speeds of internet from the companies. Setup was easy.

I set it up with Cox Cable service -- my internet provider. Easy to set up, and it works great! Just as specified in the description.

This modem/router was easy to install. With the capacity to process 3200 MPs it should last at least 5 years. So far so good

Motorola Modem/Router works great with Xfinity internet

The modem works well unlike others in the past. The Motorola name came through for us in a small business operation.

I'd been looking to ditch the modem and router from the ISP, and this Motorola MG8702 is awesome. I am seeing noticeably faster speeds, much less buffering. Websites and apps are loading much faster and the WIFI signal also reaches further. One thing that I like is that it has both the 2.4 and 5 ghz bands, but you connect to the router and it puts you on the best band behind the scenes. Connecting it was super easy. I plugged it in and called the ISP and gave them the MAC address and it was working within 2 minutes. It uses the minim app to manage the router. I have mixed feelings. Overall, I like it. It shows you whenever a new device connects and the names are very accurate, so you know what connected. It also makes it easier to assign the devices to the profiles, which is the thing that I think I like best. I can create a profile for my kids and assign devices to them and manage time allowed or set a schedule, block and unblock sites, and pause all the devices in their profile with one tap. I can also see how much time they spent at which websites. What gives me mixed feelings is that the filters are very hit or miss. The adult website blocking doesn't work at all. I tested it with a few sites and they loaded right up. On the flip side, the malicious site and ad blocking sometimes catch legitimate sites, but there's no way to whitelist them. You can search the URL and see which filter blocked it, but you can't whitelist or even submit that it be removed from the filter. I've checked the support pages and cannot find anything that helped. But again, I like it overall, but I wish the filters worked better and that there was a way to whitelist sites. So the Motorola MG8702 works awesome and is a great replacement for the ISP modem and router. The minim app is good but can be better.

Installation was simple and took only a few minues. Works pefectly and have no "dead" spots in my house.
