Modem disappointment

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this on the advice of Trumbull staff (Optimum is the major service provider in this area), only to find out it will NOT work with Optimum Voice, after having online support and in-person support from Optimum try to address the problem. It takes time to get a home service call. Now my 30 days has expired. I contacted Motorola support and they said I'm out of luck. So I have an expensive device that doesn't serve all of my needs. I rely on the in-store expertise to point me in the right direction. Definitely didn't work out in this case.

better than paying Xfinity monthly for modem renta

Xfinity had to come to the house to check & finalize the hook-up & check all connections because there are times when there is a two sec. pause in trans-mission of tv programming.

Doesn’t run 1gig Xfinity internet

According to Xfinity tech support, I need a DOCSIS 3.1 to better use their 1gig internet speed. Going to return.

Not sure what or why but when I do a speed test that always comes back good. I’m thinking maybe its all the xfinity cell phone users jamming up my signal. Xfinity with their games on my dime.
