The advice I got from the Best Buy information help was off the wall and I was sold a fast modem without router and no phone voice connection. I returned it and bought this one doing my own research in what I needed and what would work for me.

Xfinity Compatable Upgrade

Much needed upgrade for my old router. Easy to connect and get up and running. Connection issues were an Xfinity issue and not the router. I have to believe that Xfinity was not pleased to lose out on the 20 bucks a month for their rental unit.

Why rent when you can own

I haven't had any problems with it lagging. When buying one you own it rather than renting off your cable company it pats for itself in less than a year. I also git a 4 year warranty for $25 which you cant beat!

Good router if not looking for parental controls

(I needed to call Xfinity several times, but that was their issue and not a problem with the router.) The parental controls are close to worthless. I believe you need to specify IP addresses for any sites that you want blocked.

Easy setup, perfect range for a small house

We have the 200Mbps internet plan and it has been flawless. The setup was easy, the most difficult part was coordinating with Xfinity, which took about 30 minutes on the phone, figuring out who to talk to. Ethernet ports also work well for a home office setup.
