It's a great laptop for tasking but also at the same time gaming at full specs.

This is my first gaming laptop and I must say that it runs flawlessly. I can play all of my games on ultra graphics. The frame rate stays around 60fps, and the quality is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a 1080p portable gaming platform. The only reason I would get a new one was if I wanted to go up to 4k, but that doesnt apply to the review. It's great.

I bought this computer to replace a similar MSI laptop that I had purchased three years earlier. My old MSI laptop was fast and reliable. I had no complaints until the battery failed. I expected the new MSI laptop to be faster and just as reliable as the old one. Not so. The new MSI laptop is slower than the old one. The new MSI laptop seems to find the blue screen of death weekly, whereas old one seldom did until the battery started to fail. The new MSI laptop does not handle multi-tasking as well as the old MSI laptop. Leave five or six business programs (including webpages) open and the laptop slows down noticeably. I wonder if there is a problem with the dual graphics installed in the laptop (onboard Intel and a GeForce GTX 1060). I would not recommend this laptop to a gamer, although it is probably fine for light business use. It was a letdown to find that a newer, more powerful MSI laptop did not perform as well as an older, less powerful one.

Have had this product for over two years. Still working great. Runs most games with no problem.

Great laptop - zero complaints. Easy to carry on a plane - super light weight.

Only a few gripes. All-in-all, solid gaming machine. Pros: -GTX 1060 is Pretty Amazing -Windows is Parked on the SSD - Boot is Less Than 5 Seconds -Weight/Portability -Crisp/Clear Display -Have yet to experience any processing delays, lag, display stutters, etc... Even when running this thing to the max. Cons: -POWER BUTTON LOCATION! I've managed to put my machine to sleep 4 times, in 2 days, while trying to get to the ports on that side of the machine. -Non-UHD for this Vid Card/Price Tag combo? What gives, MSI? -Spinner HDD is great for storage - But I foresee it being an issue when I start to fill up the space. Especially since the OS, one single game and MSI's pre-installed software all take up ~75% of the SSD's capacity. I'll likely be throwing a larger SSD in the machine, once I'm confident enough that there will be no issues. What do I mean by "issues", you ask? WELL... MSI throws a sticker over one of the access points for one of the screws on the bottom of the machine. States something along the lines of..."You're out of luck if you remove or puncture this" (referring to your warranty). Don't buy this machine with hopes of increasing RAM and SSD capacity, without voiding your MSI warranty. Though, as long as your ElitePlus with BB, you'll have a full 45 days of test driving. -That awful Audio Software that comes pre-installed... And the speakers being located on the bottom of the unit. Sounds pretty horrid. And when the Audio Software is turned on... Makes ALL of the speakers sound blown. Thought I received a defective unit. NOPE.. Not the case. After hours of troubleshooting and uninstalling/reinstalling audio drivers... I decided to download the "Updated" audio driver from MSI, directly. Yes, it's the same garbage software that comes preinstalled... Just an updated version from the developer. Solved the problem. My advice? Get the updated software from MSI's website, launch it after you've installed it, and switch the "Audio Management" to OFF. You'll be golden, afterwards. Other bits of Information (Neither Pros nor Cons to me...Maybe "bothersome of added bonus" better explains these: -Battery life - Less than 1 hour when un-plugged... Though this was to be expected. Look how much power you're pushing? -Charging Cable - Awesome job on the length. Like, really... Super long and convenient. -Runs super warm on the bottom... Again... To be expected. It's a slim-line powerhouse. Invest in a decent cooling unit. I use a USB powered 3-fan cooler under mine. Does its job. Happy Gaming!

Overall great but the only con is the battery life

It has some crazy memory leaks, and insane cpu spikes. But that's all operating system, the computer it self rocks! It really breaks that mobile gaming (being that it's a laptop not a desktop) persona. Needs a few tweaks as far as software is concerned, but I'd recommend. It'll do for my deploymen over seas!

Went to pickup the Apache Pro but couldn't resist this. Hasn't disappointed. Graphics are great.

Bought this to replace my 4 year old HP laptop that just died. All, I can say is Wow!! Faster, more memory and newest video card...how can u go wrong? Playing Smite and there is hardly and lag: ping is low and FPS is usually over 100. So far, no problems. This is the first MSI computer I have owned and I am impressed.
