It works great. I had to call Comcast to get it online, but that's because they don't want to lose the $15.00 a month by making it too easy for the customer. It's perfect for what I need. I haven't hooked anything else up to it because I hardwire my chromebook. For the $50.00 I spent, so far, so good. Oh, plus I got free shipping and it took less than 24 hrs. to get it. Well, done Best Buy!

COMCAST installed new service and had no problem connecting this customer-owned equipment. Speed tests indicate I am getting full rated speed and sometimes a little better than full rated. Have tried connecting directly to the COMCAST Flex box as well as an old Verizon router then to the Flex box and the TV, both methods worked fine but the router gave me WiFi and direct CAT5 connections. Both streaming to TV and casting from a PC to the TV have worked so as far as I can tell the modem is passing everything it should.

Replacing our old modem with this saved our lives during this quarantine where a whole family is working from home. No issues like we had with the last one, where service cut out way too often. Easy to setup too.

I was concerned about the modem working with Charter Spectrum. It works as it should. Set up required a call to Charter, but other than that, it was plug and play. I have no complaints from the family when we have several devices streaming at the same time.

Compatible modem to save money instead of the monthly fee from cable company. It worked perfectly out of the box.

No issues, easy to set up, and way less expensive than renting from the cable company. Buy your own modem and pair it with a router that meets your networking needs. If issues arise and you need tech support, Netgear is far easier to deal with than Scamcast.

I have not had any problems with speed or setup. All I had to do was plug it in and log in to xfinity and I was surfing the web with no problems. With a fast and reliable connection this product works perfectly.

I am very happy with this product. It has been reliable and my internet speeds have improved since switching over to Netgear. Just make sure that you know you must purchase a router with this product as it is not a modem/router combo.

I have been using this for almost 5 months now. Great Product pretty easy to setup and works with Xfinity Internet. Not using for VOIP phone. Using for Internet with Linkys 2500 router and 7-8 mobile devices and 2 Streaming TV devices in 1500 sqft apartment, Have not had any issues just had to restart the once, so 4 stars.

This product is great. Easy to install, very reliable. Xfinity chat interface made transferring our old modem to this one a snap, as this product was familiar to our internet provider.

This modem has exceeded all expectations. My internet speed has improved slightly as a result as well. I bought this to avoid paying a rental fee each month to my service provider. It's worth it's weight in gold and I'm saving money in the long run!

Works extremely well. I use spectrum and this is authorized by spectrum. No questions asked, they just got info and presto, i no longer pay $5/mth for outdated modem. Easy to install.

It has been few weeks using this device. So far holding good. No issue. It was very easy setting up with cablevision provider. Took about 7 minutes to sync the MAC address with provider and enable service. Usually it is 15 minutes just for enabling the mac on service provider. Very good experience so far.

What more can you want in a modem? It works flawlessly. Great power, super easy to setup. Drives an awesome router. It has been 100% trouble-free since the moment I connected it. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a good cable modem.

Purchased this modem to replace the one I was "renting" from the cable company. Purchased it to ensure it had sufficient speed for the high end speed I was paying for through the cable company. So far I have had no issues. It is easy to set up and connect.

Comcast. This model is recommended by Comcast and they don't joke when they say that this router is certified for Xfinity. The router asked for my Comcast account number (you can find it on your monthly bill) and seconds later it was registered and ready to go. I was amazed that registration took less than the startup time with my old modem provided by Comcast. Also, it is DOCSIS 3.1 and 3.0 backward compatible, so it should be good for years. This is my first Netgear and after reading some horror reviews with other brands either running hot or not registering with Comcast, I purchased this one and no regrets. I was looking at CM700 as well, but apparently older models suffered from issues with Intel CPU (supposedly the same across all major modem brands), so between having 3.1 support for future upgrades and new gen CPU, I figured it's worth additional $50. Finally, $10 that I used to pay for modem rental will fund speed upgrade, so this modem will be put to use right away. Side note: I got Cisco Systems Gigabit Dual WAN VPN 14 Port Router (RV325K9NA) to pair with this modem as primary WAN Gateway and DHCP server for my home net. Between these two, I get max ISP speed across all devices under any load.

Great modem for comcast. Had it for 2months now and it hasn't given me a single problem. Super easy to setup minus the whole register with comcast which want really all that bad either honestly... Just annoying. Overall tho is great

I have used NETGEAR Cable Modems for years, as well as they WiFi Routers. They always worked as they should. Fast speed and very reliable. Plus they have very good security features.
