[This is more like 4.5 out of 5 ---but no way to specify a .5 so I chose 4 simply because it's not perfect] So far so good. It's not a modem/router combo so if you're used to Xfinity's modem/router device, you will need to buy a separate router for your wifi. It's been almost 1 month now and it's performing well. I used to get a lot of network drops from my old modem and I have not seen that issue since I replaced it with this device. There are only 2 issues for me which are very minor. The first one is with the placement of its LED lights. In order to see all the lights, you'll have to be looking directly straight at it. So if it's late at night and just want to verify that all lights are Green meaning no technical issues, you can't see it in an angle. The 2nd issue is with the setup and activation. The setup is quick and easy but at least in my experience, you may need to go through the activation process 2 or more times in order to get it connected. Using my ISP app, it's telling me a certain minutes (e.g. 10 or 11 mins) for the ISP to recognize the device and activate it, and I wait and wait probably for double the estimated time and it wasn't connecting. I initially thought the device is not supported even though it is in the specs. It was only when I decided to stop the process and repeat the whole process again that it went through. But other than that, everything is working fine and stable and I have not gotten any issues lately.

Works well for my use. I just needed to get off the rental cycle. If you need more downstres go for a 32x8 model but i have had zero problems woth this

A big step up from the issued modem through Comcast!!

This modem hooked up easily but we had a hard time getting it to synchronize with our net gear nighthawk router...several hours of working with tech support and then my son finally figured it out thru his net gear app. Works great now that it's synched .

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my son and his wife who are 'gamers' and are on Xfinity. They LOVE it; connection was super easy, and the WiFi is exactly what they need when hosting a gaming session with multiple players. NetGear again delivered!!!

The packaging had sufficient protection, set up was easy and it had sufficient speeds for what I needed, great price as well

I was having some intermittent dropouts with my old modem. So I bought this one to replace it and was surprised to find that it actually has helped with download speeds a great deal. I have no complaints on the functionality of it at all. My dropouts have since corrected although I'm not sure this was the root cause to begin with.

Was tired of paying Comcast modem fees so bought this to replace theirs. Glad I did. Docsis 3 provides for the higher download speeds from comcast. Love it and would do it again
