Not sure about this item. Bought it to replace the old modem - previous model of the same line, that got fried by the thunderstorm previous night. Supposed to be faster and more powerful, then netgear 500 I disposed of, but the internet seems to be lagging at times. The only logical reason is the modem, cause wi-fi signal strength seems consistent around the house, but the videos freeze. Plus it’s annoying that after disconnecting it or losing power you have to restart it several times - manually and through the provider app - until it gets back online again

Wonderful item I used it with an xfinity internet plan instead of purchasing their wireless router. It worked like a charm and still has not broken. I will recommend dusting it off it it sits on the floor or book shelf of the sort. That can interfere with how well it functions because of the dust. Other than that great product overall.

Works like a charm and highly recomend for anyone who is paying a monthly fee to rent one from an internet provider. I am now saving $15 a month!

No issues with the modem but Comcast/Xfinity is telling me the modem needs to be updated and pestering me about renting their modem. Xfinity will not send me a 4K wireless box either because they state this modem is not compatible with that device. This modem does work with xfinity phone and home security so that's good.

I bought NETGEAR brand for my router because of reliability. I owned a NETGEAR fifteen years ago and never had a problem with it. When I moved into another complex, I was encouraged to purchase a cable company's router (It was a part of their package). The router only lasted a couple years. I decided to go with NETGEAR.

I used BestBuy gift cards and Rewards Points to purchase this modem for free. I'm saving $10 / month from TWC and the modem works flawlessly. The only thing that I notice is a smaller bill every month.

It only has one port so if you have multiple Ethernet ports throughout your house and you want to hard wire each computer, this isn't the one for you. But if all your computers are on wifi, it works great.

We purchase for internet access but our internet provider told us that it will not work with their company. So don’t know exactly how it works.

Frusttating, after buying and experimenting with other products and not being satisfied, I purchased this and it serves all my needs.

Overall everyone was great! I feel bad that your sales staff didn't have much to sell. The dish washer we bought was mainly what they could get maybe not the exact one we would have chosen.

suggested by a best buy associate, I followed directions and there were no problems. Especially liked that it was auto detected and activated by Comcast (hard to believe but true)

not knowing what I need I bought this and when the geek guy came out to put it together he told me this was not the right one for my system and the one I had was working I just plug it in to the wrong spot.

We've had this modern for over a year now and couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Unfortunately, this product was not compatable with my product. It is important to match this system to your computer and wireless, or not, system. I am sure this would have been a great product.

Needed to upgrade my current modem to upgrade my internet plan with Sudden Link. This modem works great and was a lot cheaper then buying one from Sudden Link or renting one from them

We decided to buy a modem, rather than continue paying a monthly rental from Time Warner. This was on their approved list, and it was one of the highest rated, and one of the lowest cost. So a Win/Win!

I literally googled “best modem” and this thing came up. It’s worked well for me! Amazon had it cheaper but Best Buy price matched, no sweat, and I picked it up in store the same day.
