    it has a good life of service for around 2 years, after 2 years it starts reseting and youll have to get a new one

    This was touted by the sales rep at the store to increase the download speed several times versus the Spectrum router/modem that I then had. I did not find this to be true however. I don't see it being any better as far as speed than that one. It is an acceptable replacement modem tor those who don't want to pay the monthly rental fee. You will need to also have a wireless router since it doesn't have that function.
