I bought this modem just to be current with technology. I also upped my internet speed with Spectrum from 200mbps to 400. When i chaged my plan my speed stayed tbe same. I had to get spectrum to come out to check it out. Turns out that i need a 3.1 modem and NOT a 3.0 like this one. Hope this helps.

I tried to buy this to replace my cable one then realized I couldn't use it

Hooked it up to my wiri router, running on xfinity and woeks great. No problems so far. I know its one of the cheaper routers out there, but i have no issues..

I received the NETGEAR DOCSIS 3.0 High Speed Cable Modem (CM500-100NAS) from Netgear for free as part of a test and review program. I used the modem to replace my older modem which wasn’t able to handle the new speed of my internet upgrade, and I am very pleased with the results. My ISP recently upgraded our system and now supports 75MB down. The setup was relatively easy with the only issue coming from the ISP resetting the signal. They had to do this a few times in order to recognize the modem but once the signal was established, the setup was a breeze. All I had to do was hook up the cable connection, the power cable and attach the Ethernet connection to the device to get it up and running. After the modem was setup, I connected it to our Netgear router and we were up and running with high speed internet throughout the house. I am now able to receive the 75 Mbps easily. The modem is compact and sits up vertically which saves space. It is connected to my Netgear router to provide internet access to the Ethernet connections throughout the house as well as a wireless signal. It is able to provide high speed internet access to any device that I attach to the router (which is connected to the modem). It is able to support up to 680 Mbps so I can upgrade my speed even more, when the time comes. I’ve let it run now for about a week and it is running perfectly with no issues. This modem saves me on my monthly modem rental fee from my ISP. I would highly recommend this modem to anyone looking to upgrade to a higher speed.

Decent Modem...could be a lil less on price... well with in specs

Good, it’s working fine. No issues by far. It would have been better if it had a automatic restarting after the power/network outage since you need to restart it manually every time it goes down.

I really wanted to like this modem after reading some reviews but after 2 days of trying to troubleshoot it I had to return it after confirming with a Netgear representative that it was a defective unit. I did not want to go through the hassle again so I exchanged it for an Arris modem.

Not the best nor fastest cable modem. I have trouble staying connected.

Needed to increase my digital package with my internet provider (Suddenlink). Very easy to install and a great product at an exceptional price.

Light indicators much too small! Difficult to view it unless eye level

Modem and Router combo is good but it can never the full wifi speed offered by cable provider. If plugged into ethernet port, can get max speed. Tried all settings but could not get full wifi speed.

Works fine. I like it. Just looks bigger in the picture than what really is. But it’s fine.

Product seem to be easy to set up without any hassle.

We decided to replace the modem we were renting from the internet company. I took a picture of what we were using and brought a copy of our bill with me so I could get the best modem for the job. After installing it, it isn't very fast and I am disappointed.
