Good replacement for a good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think Cox bricked my old modem by suddenly saying it's now incompatible with my same network speeds that I had before (150mbps down and 10mbps up). I went with this modem because it was on sale for $50 and it was definitely a good choice. The guy at Cox that completed the setup knew exactly which modem it was and said it was compatible with my current speed and the 300mbps speed service as well. Works great and speeds have been consistently fast. No complaints at all.

Avoid rental fees - works perfect

Configuration on my end was simple, I just plugged the power in to the modem, attached the coax from Grande and an ethernet cable to my wireless router. A quick call to Grande and they set it up from their end and everything has been working perfect ever since.

Better than renting from Comcast

Current Comcast customers should call Comcast customer service before trying it on your own. I tried to follow instructions included as well as online which explained activation process but without success. Apparently online and included instructions are specific to new customers only. Customer service has to activate, so plug in product when you have the customer service technician on the phone.
