Better than renting from Comcast

Great Stable and Low Cost Cable Modem

I purchased it when I signed up for new comcast xfinity service after I moved. Works fine with my current plan of 400mbps down and 10mbps up. This unit is about as stable as they come. I'll need to replace it when I finally move to gigabit service though, as it can't handle anything beyond 680mbps down.

Purchased since Comcast requires 3.0 compatibly

Current Comcast customers should call Comcast customer service before trying it on your own. I tried to follow instructions included as well as online which explained activation process but without success. Apparently online and included instructions are specific to new customers only. Customer service has to activate, so plug in product when you have the customer service technician on the phone.

Fantastic little modem. It has already paid itself off in fees, more fees, and rental fees. I would recommend buying this over "renting" from the cable company.

Fast Setup, Great Performance & Super Value!!!

Unit has been updated in the intervening years and its throughput has doubled while the price has remained the same. Quick call to Comcast got the unit registered and I was on my way. Time from out of the box to smooth surfing - 7 minutes!

I purchased it rather than renting a modem from xfinity. The xfinity rep installed it and set it up for me. Saved my money and no problems so far after a week of use. Works well with my WiFi router. Fast internet throughout the 3 story house.
